I'm not 100% sure but I think it means they have to remove the ECU to map it on a bench rather than using the ODB2 port to map it. And the place you went to only does maps through ODB2.

Yeah, same with me a while ago, ended up changing the filter and oil hoping it would fix the issue but it didn't, so ended up having to get the haldex pump changed along with another oil change.
I've had the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 twice now on my 2.0 TDI Quattro, really grippy in the wet. Just had them changed. Managed around 20k miles on them.

I'm sure it's a normal thing, I always see it on mine. It's probably reminding you that one click will deadlock the doors, so no one from inside the car could open the door??
