Not in UK then and your 'Vehicle Institution' doesn't need to sign off on your brake conversion?
Can't really comment on the brake bias, you shouold do some research and work out if the rear bias is too much.
Have you tried bleeding the system first?
You don't sate whether your brake setup was working normally before this happened, or whether the brake setup is newly installed and this is happening directly after fitment.
Also what do you mean by 'it can be a bit wobbly because of the brake sizes'?
I have been qouted £107 + vat for a standard shock and £80 + vat for a standard spring. That's over £400 just to replace the rears. I am thinking I could do better, and probably replace the whole lot for not much more money. Any recommendations either for aftermarket kits or a cheaper place for...
4WD, 5sp- will have to look at gearing though!. Used on a variety of tracks. Agree with your comments on 1.8t as a track car that's why I am seriously considering it. Currently track an S4, and the 1.8t will handles better. How much power without re-bore? The car would be stripped of weight!!
Thanks, thinking of turning one into a dedicated track car, roll cage and all that business. Probably look for 400+, big turbo high revs....research to do!
Anyone running mods to support this kind of performance? What have you done please?
Anyone on Garrets? What compression ratio are you running?
TIA folks!
No won't be the tensioner gasket - might be heatshields but again rare for y2000. Just worth checking/attending to those things I mentioned whilst engine is out. The rockers covers need to come off to check the cams properly. Change clutch whilst out and if going for K04 power in the future go...
Very rare on a Y2000. Check the cams whilst the engine is out and the cam seals and cam chain tensioner cover gaskets. May as well check all the bearings on ancilliaries as well.
Are the 17" standard wheel Et45 and PCD 112 please. Also do they have a polished, or semi polished rim. Mine have been painted and I was sure that's not original?
TIA
