ok, i assumed so. is the crank pulley accessible from under the car, im assuming its torqued on and limited space would be nearly impossible to remove. have you removed one whilst engine still in situ before?

Evening guys, I've had a rattle that starts from 5k onward so yesterday i dropped the sump to have a little look at the bottom end and everything looked to be alright except a few bits of broken black plastic in the sump and pick up pipe. i had a feel of the pump chain and it felt quite tight...

Haven't been on here in a while, I'm planning on building a large port carbon intake manifold for the s3. Obviously I want maximum flow. Does anyone have any experience on testing different shapes and volumes.

I'm looking to get some 83mm stroker pistons for my new engine. What's best to go for and where from?

I have an engine block that I stripped down yesterday ready to be bored out for stroker build and was wondering the best way to clean it up for painting. Is it alright to just jet wash it or is there a better way?

Made a bit of progress this morning stripping down the block. I've decided I'm going to paint the block red so I've ordered some high temp primer and paint. What's the best way to prep it and get all the oil dirt off ready for paint. Or is it worth me having it sandblasted?

Is it possible to use the standard 8p s3 82.5 pistons and rebore to suit as would be a lots cheaper then a new forged set of 83mm's

Ok so been a while since I've been on here or touched the s3 as I've recently bought a new daily 07 Leon tfsi fr I was going to remove the s3 engine and just rebuild it with my new rods but might be moving house within tge next month and don't want to be stuck with half a car in the garage...
