If you’re lucky and you have the tow bar and the controllers from the same car then it should just work. Let me know if you need the instruction document
You can’t parameterise the tow controller without vcp so if the button isn’t lighting up this is what you’ll need to do.
The other coding you can do via VCDS - it’s fairly simple to make the changes following the instruction file - if you don’t have it PM me your email and I’ll send it over

The towbar is second hand but the tow controller, wiring and release button are new. What is involved in parametrising the unit? I think that might be the issue!
Byte 2 is 00 which in VCDS says Button none but I have the boot release button as shown in the top of this thread. Can someone confirm what the coding should be with this button as it’s still not working
Mine just plugs into the Wibutec wiring loom - the reason I think that mine isn’t working is that I’ve been provided a F control unit and the towbar is a D variety. I’ve ordered a D control until and we’ll see what happens
