So my recently serviced 2005 C5 Avant is destined for the scrappy (or ebay) after the gearbox decided it had had enough #thumbsdown it had a gearbox ecu rebuild and gearbox service at 70k (approx 5 years ago) and last had a gearbox service in March at 110k (along with new cambelt/water pump...

So the missus key fob has been dead since we got the car (she doesn't drive it that often as she has her own car) but it annoys me so over the years I have tried many times to reprogram the fob without success. So I'm making the assumption that it's dead.....can I buy a replacement on eBay etc...

Think it'll have to go in and get some shiny new bits put on it by the sounds of it!

ive noticed in the past couple of days that my front brakes (assuming brakes) seem to grind at low speeds but only when ive driven a few miles. The disks dont seem scored or too badly lipped (<1mm) but the wheels are also hotter after a drive so im wandering if the calipers are binding....seems...

yeah assumed a replacement would be needed but didn't want to shell out for one from audi, as i wandered if i shouldnt be getting a crappy cheap one......i did notice the thread on the old audi one had a hole in the middle like a pin should be going in like a cable tv connector....the new one didnt?

Old aerial split/broke and replaced with a ebay cheapy (£7) i now have no radio reception......any ideas? i thought an aerial was an aerial.......clearly not. Any recommendations for another? ive got satnav but not sure that makes a difference

The whole catch is off....ive managed to find a replacement top with catch on fleabay for a tenner!

Chaps, No.1 son was a bit vigorous opening the armrest a few days back and snapped the catch clean off, i dont seem to be able to find a replacement catch on the net...infact i ordered one for a c6 by mistake. Do the exist? or do i need to replace the entire top piece? Does anyone have any...

So ive noticed my aeriel is split, i need to get a replacement but there are so many to chose from, my car is a final edition with sat nav (no phone) so what one should i be ordering as most only offer am(not working) and fm (crap at the best of times). Ebay links would be appriciated

The shocks are as old as the car, they don't look like they are leaking or anything, it's just been through and mot so I would assume they would have picked up on it if there was anything wrong
