Looking closely, it seems the wheel design has the arms arch outwards away from the caliper. If they have a flatter rim to hub profile then that straight line "cuts the corner" and gets close to/hits the caliper.
The two examples you show are in the 18" line up in my first post, so I guess...
Found it, thanks! Should have read the manual.
OK, next question, missing on this Audi (or can't find it yet) - where do I keep my parking/shopping trolley coins?
I’ve ordered a pair of 5mm hubcentrics as this may be enough and I understand these can still be used with original bolts as lng as I get 7 full turns in the thread. I’m not bothered about the flush look since this will probably end up throwing more mud and debris down the side of the car in...
New to the S4 Avant, my old 2004 A4 1.9tdi sold to it's new owner yesterday so first time out on a frosty morning in the S4. Very disappointed to discover the door mirrors aren't heated. Was standard on the old 1.9tdi sport but remained frosted up on the new car. Cheapskates Audi, why aren't my...

Only mentioned as some people are unaware of the huge penalty on fuel...
Be aware that roof bars/racks eat your fuel consumption. Manufacturers spend millions developing the aerodynamics of the car only for it to be spoilt by the parasitic drag of a rack. It could cost you 10% of your fuel consumption. I appreciate some are tricky to get on and off but the fuel...
I have followed the advice on www.potholes.co.uk a couple of times and been paid. Saves burning your NCD.
The process is a little long winded and they deny liability at first but by second or third letter, they pay up.
Yes, some 18” wheels clear the brake calipers. Audi UK don’t show any 18” wheel options for the S4 but audi.de do.
There are a couple of knowledgeable used wheel sellers on Ebay I am in dialogue with and I am also waiting for quotes from two UK Audi dealers for new ones.
