    1.8T or 2.0 SFI

    I use to drive a Jetta with the 2.0FSI engine and to be honest it was a pile of poo! No torque and you had to rev it hard to make any decent progress which even then was average at best. My vote goes to the 1.8T much better engine however the 2.0TFSI engine is better again.

    Brake light switch part number

    The inevitable has finally happened after weeks of me putting off getting it sorted, the battery has been drained flat by my faulty brake light switch! I have looked on vagcat and I can't find the correct part number for the switch. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks Phil

    I get a judder sometimes on damp mornings but once the moisture has burnt off it tends to go, would a new clutch and dmf fix this?

    hows your air con?

    After nearly two years of my aircon not working, I replaced the pressure switch and got it regassed and to my surprise it works pretty well. One thing I notice with mine is that it doesn't get icey cold until a few miles of driving before then I would say it's cool.

    1.9TDI 130. Just over 28 months and covered nearly 20K. I will probably hold onto it for another couple of years then get myself an Golf GTI Edition 30 :D

    Air con regassed today and it's all fixed :) Sod's law the weather will probably be crap for the rest of the year now!
