Wow, that’s not good. I would be going nuts

    Delivery of an S3

It’s very noticeably higher. Any word on the TTS yet?

    Gap insurance?

ALA have very competitive rates, it was around £200 for 3 years cover on mine. For that sort of money it is well worth having, on the flip side I can see people questioning whether to take it or not when the dealership is trying to charge you £600+ for the same product

    Delivery of an S3

I agree, first thing I noticed when I seen the new S3 up close. Even my wife (who has absolutely no interest in cars whatsoever) mentioned it, if she picked up on it that is a red flag to me.

    Delivery of an S3

A standard A3, a standard 1 series or diesel Golf I agree all generally sit too high. But an S/RS, M car or GTI/R should always sit low enough. Generally the wheels always sit too far into the arches as well, first thing I generally do is fit a good quality set of spacers, totally transforms the...

Exhaust sound of the 8Y S3 when revved at a standstill

Does replacing the axle back really improve the sound that much? I understood that the OPF needed removing and therefore a remap applied. Not sure I would want to do that on a brand new car.

My A35 didn't sound great at idle either, you really had to be on the move to get any half decent sound out of it. The TCR has a really nice deep burble at tick over, and it will pop and bang when stationary when it's warmed up.

Exhaust sound of the 8Y S3 when revved at a standstill

Could be a number of reasons I suppose, but the current S3 does not sound good at all.

I heard one being started up and revd at the dealership a few weeks ago, our dyson sounded better.

    First time back at dealers

Why would you have to suck it up? You are paying the lease company for a product, if that product is faulty or not for for purpose it is their responsibility to sort it out or replace it.

    First time back at dealers

I wouldn’t rely on Audi sorting these systemic problems, 2 years on from the rejection of my A35 owners are still reporting the problems I rejected my car for. For issues like these it seems to be something manufacturers wait until the facelift to resolve, most likely a far more cost effective...

    First time back at dealers

When I rejected my A35 I took the dealer out of the equation as they were useless, I dealt directly with Mercedes UK, they handled the rejection process and involved my local dealer when required. If you are going down the rejection route there is no point in talking to you dealership as they...

    First time back at dealers

If you have given them 3 chances to fix the problem you can legally reject the car, if the car was less than a month old when you first reported the problem you don’t even have to give them 3 chances to fix the issues.
