Thanks, got it but can’t get the old one off, its rusted solid, I’ve soaked it in wd40 for 2 days but it’s not budging, don’t have an angle grinder either. Sad times. May have to go to the garage.

Just noticed my exhaust is almost hanging off, seems this small section is rusted. Can I just replace this section and maybe the clamps? It’s just up behind the back box.

Clean the key fob thoroughly, fluff, dirt and general crud gets into the recessed parts which stop the key being released by the mechanism. It helps to give it a good positive push to help the clips disengage when removing it.

If it’s changing with the revs it could be something driven by the timing belt. Like the A/C compressor, alternator, water pump or just a pulley bearing. Unless you mentioned it specifically to the mechanic he may not have picked it up. Try turning on/off the a/c to see if the noise changes...

Open it from the inside, then slam it shut, repeat till it works again. This reseats the plastic doodah in the handle. It’s not a long term fix but it’ll get though the MOT. (I have to do this every few months as I’m too tight to fix it properly!)

Just buy the exhaust trim, no? You can get genuine Audi ones or cheap ones off eBay.

Ah ok. After doing some research it’s the humidity sensor, maybe your car doesn’t have it. I just shoved it in loose. Not an ideal situation but works. I’m very impressed with the dashcam though, it was quick and easy to fit, just plus right in, easy setup, good quality for £60.
