Hi there, did you get to the bottom of the battery drain issue?
My wife’s B7 Cabriolet started doing this a couple of years ago so I replaced the battery and all seemed fine for 3 years then the problem started to come back. I cheacked the drain with an amp meter and found 3.9 amp drain...
As someone once said, a lot of problems in life can be sorted with MORE POWER!
I have a 4.2 TDI and would like to get it as close as possible to the 6.0 V12 Tdi, anyone have any experience in this matter? And before anyone says, I couldn’t afford the V12.
I know a stage 1 and 2 are doable...
I’ve just purchased a 4.2 tdi and found that the first inch of throttle travel does nothing, then the car moves very abruptly.
I hadn’t driven any other 4.2 TDIs so don’t know if it’s normal.
My brother has just purchased an A5 cabriolet Quattro auto 2.0 FSi on a 13 plate and was wondering if he could have a reversing camera and cruise control fitted.
He's near Basildon in Essex. Also which remap is better, revo or AMD?
Thanks for the info, mine, according to AMD's graph is 255 bhp and 278lbft torque, it drive very well and the only difference is a slight vibration at idle but that might change with a few fill ups and cold starts. Overall I'm very happy and not really interested in Vmax.
Mate, I was told that they don't use Revo anymore and that they use custom maps, maybe the definition of custom is different?
Mine was a stage 1 on a standard 2.0 Tfsi, should I be concerned about the AMD map? What are the signs of a poor map?
Firstly, for all those unsure about remapping, DO IT! You will not regret it, and secondly, I would highly recommend AMD in Thurrock Essex.
If like me, you were unsure about a remap and concerned about some the of issues mentioned on this and other forums e.g. Poor running...
