I'm finding it difficult to find a fast road pad for my S4. Neither Mintex nor Ferodo offer a pad for this model, and Pagid's sole product is the RS-19 track pad, EBC's is the yellow, but both are not suitable for different reasons. Any ideas? Or do I need to change my setup?

There are also concerns that the rubber on them wears quicker than regular tyres, but I didn't find this at all with the Vredesteins. We sold the A6, 10 months after having put the tyres on, and with pretty regular use about (14k py) they still had a good few months tread left on them.

I used Vredestein Wintrac Extremes on our A6 Allroad last winter. I can't remember the website I bought them off but they were brilliant. Drove them at -23 in the Alps and they never put a foot wrong. We followed proper 4*4's without any problem up back roads. We don't have the car anymore but...

Bang on with the cost thing. £15k for a car like the S4 with 50k miles on it. Price per performance stat would be good to work out. The engine feels as if its just run in and loosening up nicely. I miss the R8 like Mr Bobbitt misses his tackle but it will come round again I'm sure.
