Hey Jnsio, I never thought of the cap tbh! I'll maybe get underneath it and have a good scratch about around the bottom of the radiator tomorrow! Hope its not that as I really dont want to replace things if I can help it. Not sure how long I'm keeping the car for.

Hi guys, I have a 2004 A3 BKD and every few weeks I have to top up the coolant. Can't see any obvious leaks, no oil in coolant or coolant in oil. Any ideas? Car has done 160k, I don't have any history on it but I don't think rhe head gasket will have been replaced. Dave

Yea hard to diagnose from crappy phone videos! There is some play in the steering side to side, could this indicate the rack and pinion is worn?

Hi guys, bit of a weird problem with my 2001 1.8t, whenever i lift the drivers matt, there seems to be an oily substance on the carpet, sort of like baby oil :asskicking: can anyone think what it could be? Dave

Yea the blower still works, and was blowing out luke warm air after a 14 mile commute. The air is usually red jot after a few miles. When i popped the hood the engine just felt at its normal operating temp. There is coolant in the tank, but i forgot to see if it was swirling
