I suppose you could use a steamer to heat the adhesive too. I'm thinking of taking mine off to have them painted Nardo Grey and reapplied to my black A6 Avant. Any thoughts on this? Or any advice regarding paint or perhaps other methods of colouring the badges? Cheers folks! Quick afterthought...

I'd say you should be ok at 150k to be fair. The important bit is the main dealer history. Just have the timing chain checked for tension and noise. I'm Sure the price asked is reflective of the mileage, and part of the reason you want that particular vehicle, so bash on, and enjoy I say!
