Right its fixed, long story short my man from AMD did his thing and sussed it was a faulty keyfob of all things!!! How bizzare. cheers for all help and ideas peeps!!

i sent earths to the harness and it locked but not opened, wiring is fine to the door post join and fine where it goes into the main loom. i gave up after 4 hours and put it all back together to be honest! just gonna get 2 new batterys tomorow and try to "cheat" by just having the ignition on...

ok will get new one cut tomorow. right stripped the door power to/from lock switch. harness fine and power in the joining plugs also. got my head battered! nobody had any batterys today but im sure it aint that as it used to lock/open all 4 doors off the key a few weeks ago :(

ok i see, weird one isnt it! i only have 1 key but i do have the 3 buttons as a spare, that should work still though right? swopping the buttons but useing the same key "blade" ???? i let the "blade" go as part of the conversion when i took the blown up TDi motor out ! ******** lol...

up through the bottom right side of dash where ECU is, drill neat hole in side of the box, seal hole with black sealer and along to battery, easy!

very very uncommon for these to snap rods unless excessive revs are applied for long periods........ harmonic resonance is a killer strange! motors go for £150-£500, you get what you pay for IMO

Just turned 30 drive worlds first B5 avant quattro with a 5 pot turbo.........proved ;) came from a long line of 500bhp+ cossies and zetec turbo escorts etc A4 was my daily drive untill i blew the 212bhp V6 tdi lump up and decided to fit the 5 banger out of my URS4 lol pics in link below fellas ;)

basicaly in laymans terms...... the basic remap opens up the factory peramiters for fuel/boost that the manufaturers backed off to save on drivetrain and engine longivety if that makes sense, so the info is already in there and its just like flicking a switch from economy to power if you catch...

Dont be woried i used to remap cars myself and the difference between a "standard" remap from joe bloggs and a "standard" remap from a reputable mapper is about £500 and no dofference in performance or economy, trust me! it WILL be the best £250 you ever spent mate. i used to map a lot of ST...

never read all posts but........ get a tracker fitted ASAP to the S3, 99% recovery rate within 24 hrs....... cars like yours can be taken so easily its a joke, i wouk in the motor industry and leaving my car anywhere terrifys me! if they want it it WILL go, keys or not. sorry for your loss...

Also, wont communicate when i plug in my scanner...... any fuses or relays that isnt in the o/s fusebox???
