Thats what i was thinking..to strip the APY engine block bare and put everything from the AMK back on it. is this correct? thank you for your quick response.

Good Morning, Are the BAM AMK APY engine codes pretty much the same i have a friend who has a AMK engine and he wants to fit an APY engine in which is also from an s3. will there be a difference? what is VVT? as i understand the APY has VVT and the AMK does not. can someone help.

hi guys, appreciate the information. im getting cylinder 3 looked at first and then will be able to work out what to do. i have kept the AMK engine just incase i need it. i break audi s3's so have parts for it. thank god! will keep you updated with what the mechanic says.

Tbh I don't really want to spend so much money opening it up and rebuilding it if I can just swap the block to the AMK ENGINE I have from my other s3 I broke. It'll save me alot of time and money.

I'm not too sure would that be a concern?

The BAM engine is broken and had all that work done to it I have an AMK Engine sitting there that I could use instead of rebuilding the BAM

So after the engine change over get it dyno'd again? Perfect appreciate the help will let you know how I get on.

Ok perfect. Saved me an arm and leg what things should I do once it's been replaced to the AMK Engine to make sure it's in good working order. Also what does this mean for the revo map?

The head has also been skimmed less than 40k miles, water pump Gasket set Head bolt set Exhaust valve Chain gasket.

So the car just had the following done to it..this was done at vag tech in milton keynes: Breather tube Round seal Breather pipe housing Breather valve Breather pipe Pressure relief valve Vacuum pipe Hard vacuum pipe Spark plugs And sump was changed. It's been revo mapped so don't know what...

Hi so I will find out tomorrow what the cause is.. But can I replace the complete 210 AMK block into my s3? Will it make any difference to whatever has been done to the engine as slot of work was done before I brought it.
