Just had my S4 in for a service. Never had them send me a video of the faults/advisories before.
Anyone else had this, or is it a new idea to drum up business.
Got back from B&Q a couple of days ago to find two scratch lines on the bonnet of my s4, only 5cm long but through two the metal.
Must have been some f***er loading something into the car in front.
For under 20k, I would go for a 996 Carrera 2 manual, preferable 3.6.
Or a 1980's air cooled car, which is a better investment.
I tempted myself to buy a 993c2 at the moment before the prices get any more silly.
Upgrade each time, 3.2 Carrera - 964 c4 - 996 c2 - 996.2 GT3
I would never rule out a Boxster or Caymen, both very good, especially the Caymen S. But a 911 is a 911.
Do you want old school air cooled or more modern comforts ?
As above seems a good list, I would add dynamic steering and carbon inlays look nice. It too me a long time to find a good spec manual S4, I had to compromise on the Nav, but i got most of the above.
Almost forgot, B&O sound is a must.
The serial port switch is only £118.80, then it needs to be programmed. I guess with a different exhaust the stock S4 program would need changing. £1200 seems a lot.
