Not a huge amount to report on this recently. Just some bodywork TLC. Have completed the body colouring of the door blades, looks much better now. Also, had a smart repair on the front bumper, previous owner obviously scraped it on something but repaired it with silver rather than grey...

My loom was a few days late but they did call me to let me know, overall the service was pretty good. Drove outside the M25 for the first time since disconnecting one of the aerial connections as was still able to receive London stations so I'm quite happy with the setup now. No need for any...

So just a very quick update to this. Made a vast improvement to the radio quality just by removing the yellow aerial connector, just running on the standard aerial now. It's not perfect, but more than listenable, especially seeing as I live so close to the Crystal Palace radio tower. I'll leave...

Will be fitting mine sometime soon. I have the kit from Mike, and have VCDS and have the right steering module. Just need to find a few hours to do it!

My ashtray was scratched to hell so started rubbing it down and can confirm the fish scale is just painted on, as yes, it took ****** ages! I think i'll try painting body colour, although dolphin grey would make the interior very dark. Maybe a silver, can't decide.

The difference between wrapping and dipping is night and day IMO. I wrapped mine, and have been peeling it all off again as not impressed. I was thinking of rubbing mine down and spraying the same colour as the body, dolphin grey, but concerned that if it doesn't look good replacements can be...

I haven't yet, still driving around with practically no radio. I seem to have lost two sets of radio removal keys, need to try and find them and test with just hte one aerial adapter connected.

Also, removed one of the rear door blades to repaint in Dolphin Grey. Two coats of primer, three of base coat, and two lacquer. Not a huge change, but nice and subtle compared to the faded grey before. Here's a side by side.

Winner winner! Such a nice change after 12 months of ownership.
