hmmm, she obviously wasnt right for you then! (She could have said donkey!) Discovery...not a bad exchange for her then :) Some people are shallow, but not all! We jest and I love cars but they arnt everything! cherishing someone is far better in my eyes! but hey, too mushy lol

I know Eastbourne.. used to go down there for the sea front air displays,,

I was born in Reigate, joined up at 17, did 12 years in the Blues and Royals then settled in Guildford before moving to a village near Dorking.

Now i have a relationship with a 3.2....IT ALSO TAKES ME TO THE CLEANERS but hey..I love it and thats what counts :)..lol.,

A small world! Loved the displays and loved the sea front too! Was sad when we moved away!

Reigate is a stunning spot! and a nice place to live! You've moved about a bit but I must admit I love the south! alot warmer too!

Maybe the 3.2 is fleecing you but ooohh gives you a big smile on your face! and ready at any time you want it! Cant be all bad!

Last time i went to Eastbourne was about 5 years ago. Sat on the beach and watched the air display and i rekon that was the nicest day
weather wise i can remember..You get used to the sun being over the Sea. I am now looking to buy a second home in Cromer and its really strange sitting on the beach there with the sun behind you...just one of those silly things that you notice and never think about beforehand...

thats it then..........another bottle of plonk gone and time to crash out ;-) seeeeeya !

Yea your right Jamie, its a shame but it looks like i will have to stop playing the nice guy.
I just put VCDS on it and its showing no communication with the camshaft position sensor which is exactly the fault it was showing when they said i needed new cam sprockets. ie: £2300 ago,,

It's stuff like this that seriously has me wondering whether defection to another brand is the answer. All too often in the face of extreme adversity people cannot rely on Audi Franchise service teams, and the word Audi Master Technician again becomes almost a joke.

I have been caught up twice with similar scale issues to you, both of which remained unresolved until I had engaged independent VAG service interaction. I'm so sorry for you Paddy, you can do some serious $h1t with two and a half grand.
 
Yup...and it was a total of £4.3k I paid ! we have just gone back to where we were £2.5k ago

Can I ask who your franchise dealer is in case I ever wander in there by mistake. Want to avoid them at all cost!
 
Never used them. I use Reading / Newbury / Oxford depending on where I am on what day.

Oxford by far the best of the bunch in service. Newbury for sales. Doesn't seem to be a 'one stop shop' which is a pain in the ****. Inexcusable for a premium brand.
 
Well im a happy bunny today. Managed to get a complete S3 front so once I get my diffuser im set for my conversion! So if an S3 is a horse and the 3.2 a donkey...i'm gunna have a really nice ***!!!! lol :rockwoot: :whip:

Got to say I am liking this debate!

Here's my two pence worth, S3 2+ wins hands down in my veiw but as every body has said it is a close call if left standard and a lot is left to how much the driver values his/her licence. Just got rid of mine which was a sad day on saturday as it has been great fun and no clutch problems with over 12k on the revo tune.

For those who posted coments on my 911/ S3 post awhile ago I will say cheers as my new toy is loads better but I will miss the S3 a great deal!

Sarah if you want to hear a great 6 cylinder exhaust note let me know as in lancashire so you could of had a go in the S3 before it went but I didnt get to read the forum whilst I was home, sorry.

Hmm not sure on this..you have a 3.2Q which is a wicked car in its own right..why make it look like an S3??
I personally really like the OEM votex kit that the dealers offer (only on non-s-line and s3 cars)- you know, the one with a realy deep front spoiler and rear diffuser. Think it makes the 3.2 look really special..
Just my tuppence worth...

S3 all day long. As much as I have loved the V6 powered Audis I've had, the 3.2 I test drove just didn't have the urgency I was after in a small hatchback.

Plus there is no "S" in 3.2.... ;)

Yup the 3.2 is a great car and I was hoping to just convert to the single grill S Line as that is what the car is anyway but just got fed up looking for bumpers with the washer holes etc as mine has xenons. Anyway, i'm not after a cheap S3, I do like the look of them from the outside though so hey, im going to be happy! lol

Good job we're all different eh!
