3.2 vs s3

Anyway, youre on the wrong thread!! lol, dont go making this one gay!!!! Saying that, hows the gym trips? any updates?????????

Shhhhh.... i'm trying to shake that rep!!

Anyway, you'll have to keep an eye on the other thread for that daily dose of ****-erotica!! :undwech:

Iggu .Got all that except the dials :) and thankfully the Alu trim.. I think you will find the headlining is s-line as is the gear surround etc..
I also suspect i have a nicer knob than you :lmfao:j

You'll have a nicer one than mine. Ring on left hand has knackered the chrome surround of the knob and it looks cack. Looked at replacing it and I think it was about 200 sheets. Robbery, so it's staying as is.

Soon as aythreee gets posting the ****-erotic posting begins!!

Yea Yea Iggy i have all the bling that goes to make up a girls car..

Well that's your handling well and truly shot then isn't it, not mention you bhp/tonne figures

So how much have you spent on your 3.2 making it look like an S3 inside? ;)

bout £500 :).....but then it was £15k cheaper than a s3in the first place.. :)

You get what you pay for I guess... isn't yours stuck in a garage... runs for cover...

Low shot, but couldn't resist sorry chap ;)

Ohh a bit meanie there! Maybe its just sulking for all the harsh comments its receiving! Paddy is lucky, he can afford an S3, not all of us are as fortunate!:crying:

He knows (I hope) that am only joining in the banter. Wouldn't wish that sort of bad luck on my worst enemy.
This thread could run and run... lol

you are right there! Its getting alot of interest but its great banter too! thats what makes this site soooooo good, that and coupled with the knowledge and helpful guys, a winning combo!

So did you get the milltek yet?

No worries Jamie...You have to laugh or cry and frankly i aint crying over a car...lol

I should get it back tomorrow so after 2 weeks in a A4 1.8T avant it will probably feel as quick as your TTRS :lmfao:..God that thing was laborious !!

FIngers crossed they have it running like a lisghtly slower and heavier S3 for you then mate ;)

Sarah - no Milltek yet... waiting for a new development from them....

Not really, was just ready to change car and couldn't decide what to do, surprised you didn't see my indecisive ramblings on VAGoc as I went round all the houses on my next car choice.
If the RS3 existed I'd have bought that, for sure, right size, right engine, right performance.... but in the end I couldn't wait, had a drive of a TTRS and that was that really. As mentioned, it has actually exceeded all expectations so far.

Yea Yea Haz..Another car with dentist chairs fitted :)

Ah, no, missed the VAGoc sorry, do remember a little on here but was only just before you got the TTRS and didnt feel I could comments then (too new then!) Must admit if the rumours are right, the RS3 sounds awsome and ticks the boxes but phew! will be dear sadly. Nope, think you made a great choice and once you have tinkered lol, will be fantastic! Seen a few around now and do really love them, just not big enough for my needs!

Anyone gone from DSG back to manual ?? that really would open up the choice available to someone looking to replace their car...like me

Nope and wont either! Had a discussion today about mappin the DSG! A local guy who does it, anyone done it???

My 3.2 (the one which was hadn't been made to look like an S3) had DSG and it was the main reason I couldn't wait to flog it. The dealer asked me if I wanted DSG on my S3 - I nearly nutted him. Manual if you like driving - DSG if you like getting from A to B in a car.

Drove an E92 M3 with paddles, didnt really like it.
It was only a 15 min blat so not exectly an indepth evalalution, but enough to put me off DSG.
Unless I had an extended test drive and lived with it for a week or so and it completely won me over, I couldnt see myself in an Auto. Partially because I dont really think I would use the paddles after the first few weeks.
The danger is that the novelty would wear off, and I would pootle everywhere in D. Which is fine in a lazy run around like a 3.2......

cheers
paul

:ninja:

I used to have a E92 330i with paddles and after a few weeks I used to stop using them and stick in D. Mind you it didnt have the DSG box like the M3 though
