ok, so who's who then?

Paddy must be the builder, as builders are always large and can't fit in bucket seats :)

....and I can get my engine cover off, which means I'm none of the above.

Talking of which; Dave, you got that ****** engine cover off yet?

I admit it, I am weak as ****.

Was yanking it this way and that. The engine was rocking, the car was rocking.

HELP.

What next?

Due you reckon there are some leverage points I can use a large spanner on?

If you got a can of WD40 with one of those nozzle pipes on it, could you try and spray oil onto the grommets to lube and soften them up??

Might be enough to free them up?

2 pages and 53 replies and still no plastic engine cover off? Is this a late April fools? Seriously...

Someone's mother is up for grabs, no wonder its being prelonged

Have got a Green panel filter to fit so I need the cover intact

Will give it another go tonight!

l would try something that wont cause damage. try a length of wood in various points minding that the position looks sound. Once you get one corner of then you should be fine for the rest. if you break it then l have one here. When you have it of just put a cai in, l had a green panel one to start and dont rate it. Or, this is the best advice, get a garage to do it for you.
