Thank god all the snow has now gone! I woke up to terrible rain this morning but thankfully no snow so on my cars 1 week old birthday I decided to treat it to some 'Hand me downs' from its previous sibling.

No pics as the car is filthy after having spent it's first week and 400 miles in the company of my good lady wife who was attending an exhibition in London. I used her BMW which was absolutely awful in the snow, a real joke, a big thumbs up though for Quattro, what a difference this system makes.

SteveJunior offered the usual high standard of service and it made him smile to be fitting parts on such a new motor, but hey upgrades are upgrades whatever the age or mileage.

I had all the following fitted..

Auto-tech fuel pump
Evoms Intake
Evoms Heat Shield (brand new and very pretty)
MilltekTurbo back resonated Exhaust
H& R anti-roll bars.

I must say it makes a massive difference when it comes to paying the bill to already own all the parts so parting with the cash for labour was actually a pleasure, this makes a change !! :)

Whilst Junior was working on my car, his side kick (think Batman and Robin), Kirky was busy stripping an A3 Cabriolet as part of another side of their buisiness which involves Cat D repairs. The A3 had been in a front end smash so needed all the front end replacing, engine removed and interior etc in readiness for work to commence on putting her back together. To see the amount of effort and knowledge required was an eye opener but also puts your mind at rest, if they can successfully strip and refit a damaged car, fitting some modifications to our cars is simple and straight forward.

With all the desired hardware now fitted all thats left is the remap followed by a nice brake set up.

The car drove perfectly on the way home although Steve did recommend a 4 wheel alignment just as 'good practice' following the suspension mod, my S3 now sounds as one should straight from the factory, can't comment if it feels any livelier as I'm keen to run this car in sympathetically as I plan to keep this one min 3 years (Don't laugh!!).

Once weather and mileage permits I'll get it mapped and post some pics, have to say I love being back behind the wheel of an S3 and a big thanks to all at Statller, it's a long way to go for me at 80+ miles but the service and friendly approach keeps me loyal.

Highly recommended.

Good to see you are quick off the mark again ! Min 3 yrs  we will see.
Have you decided what map version you are going to have ? Have you had just the roll bars fitted not springs aswell ?

They're ace at Statller, they were sayin they run there ed30s max i.e. 375/380bhp + so they can see what they can get out of them, and when they pop they've got a TT-S engine to slap in there

Always an entertaining visit as both such car enthusiasts, the ED30 Kirky drives is mental its so quick.

I only went for the ARBs as per last time as this set up worked fine for road and track, I think if I were to consider springs I'd probably bite the bullet and go for a full coil over set up just dont have a spare grand lying around at the moment :(

To be fair the arbs and standard s springs works pretty good do I'm still a happy bunny.

Nice work Spin - good write up. Never been to Stattler myself but certainly would do on your recommendation. Hope to meet up again soon mate. P.S. Are you having fun trying to keep the phantom sparkly in this weather ?

Yeah, I echo Iggu's comments - now i'm up north I think they will be my tuner of choice :D

How much did they charge for the lot fitting? Or do you know how much they would charge for TB non res miltek?

As Spin probably knows the lads at statller are in the middle of getting a rolling road sorted which will hopefully be up and running for the better weather,so hopefully we can do some kind of a meet down there and a rolling road day which i have also mentioned on a few other forums but as spin says top lads down there as probably are other tuners which i havnt had the pleasure of going to

The car is filthy but sort of looks cool, phantom really is my favourite though. Hopefully see you on the 12th at Oulton Park ?

The best thing would be to give them a ring, ask for Junior and mention the forum, his prices are always fair and competitive, he'll look after you.
