Hi all, have installed the looms on front door with no problem, but is having difficulties installing on a4 b6 as i've got no idea which pin to install to; tried a number of them but it does not appear to work.. any ideas??

Thanks
Sam

If you pm me your exact model (and if possible engine and gearbox code) I will look in elsawin for the wiring diagram and get back to you

Hi guys I can 110% say that his wiring loom's are spot on and work. I personaly think he buy's them from Audi as they look very OEM!!! If not better. This is a mod well worth the money and would say to anyone thinging about it, to just go and do it.
Thanks again robin for all your help.

Yes I bought mine off Robin first time round, very good quality. I decided to make them myself this time. Purchased all the parts from Audi

lol thanks for that Andy!

i can confirm that i certainly do make them myself, i just spend lots of time making sure they are put together well and use nice tape rather than pikey electrical tape :)

Recommended to anyone thinking about it!!

If anybody wants all the lights you need for a 3 or 5 door to go with robins looms ( hi robin ) I have them boxed brand new. Just pm me and you can have them for cost of postage and some beer tokens. As i do not need them. There £6ish each from audi parts.!

Lads, just to let you know, the door handle LED is now in pin 17 in my 2009. Voltmeter reads 3.5V. And of course I had to add 8 to the current coding. :icon_thumright:

Interesting... myabe you can help me with my issue... Is on pin 17 instead of what? (didn't read the whole thread)

Any ideas what the coding would be for rears? Gona do my rears soon after receiving mint looms from Robin

hi, i had puddle lights on my car and i changed my interior from full leather to half leather and the new door cards did not have the puddle lights fitted and at the time i did not realise the problem so when i did i had thrown the interior away but i salvaged the loom for the rear doors, so now when my car goes back to audi dealers a fault comes up on the computer. do you know where i could get the loom for the front doors. thank you

Hi,I have read through this thread and was wondering if the retro fit kit would fit my 2006 b7 A4?
I saw the post by Robin saying that a couple of wires were longer.
Could anyone confirm if this would be possible?

Many thanks Tony

do you just need the puddle and warning light loom? if so i can make and supply a pair for you.

The looms i make and supply will be fit the A4 too :)

Sorry for delay,am I right in saying that the looms will power up the new lights under the doors(to be drilled and fitted) and also convert the red reflectors into a red light?or do the reflectors stay as a red reflector?
If so do i need to buy 4 light units or 8?
Are the part numbers that are at the start of this thread the same for a A4 ?

Many thanks

Tony

You need the following for the A4.

4 looms
4 white lights
4 red lights

yes the part numbers are the same as the A3 ones

After i got my looms from Robin for my A4 B6 3 months ago, finally complete the rear door install.

Front Door: pin 13 & 21
Rear Door: pin 2 & 6

This is for A4 B6 2004 model.

Thank you for all your help!!
Sam

The original post says that the grey connector uses pin 1 as power and pin 2 as earth. Can we just use pin 2 to connect to the puddle lights? Or do we have to tap into the 4 pin connector for the earth?

Also I have sportback which pins do i need to add for the rear door puddle lights?

you need pin 1 and 2 for the rear doors.

Also from May 2007 there is a wiring change.

Warning lights are now on pin 18 and you can pick up an earth on 19.

I believe he is talking about the fronts when he refers to the wiring change.

Hope this helps..

Hey Guys a quick Q, has anyone done this to one of the newer A3's?? with the Bosch17 ecu? (anti Hack engine ecu) was just wondering if they had added similar security to the other Computers in the car??

The engine ECU doesn't control the door controllers so you will have no problems fitting the lights to the newer A3's.

I have supplied a few looms to people with 10MY cars already and they have had no issues.

Nice write up robin ( i recognize your sig from S2ki ) , can you tell me if the loom is the same for a 2006 A4 cabriolet (sline) .

Thanks

hello .. was a pleasure doing business with you .. I long for looms, in order to get working ..
Once again, thank you ..

RMH1A4cab the loom for the doors should be the same as they are the same for the A4 Saloon and Estate.

Hi, also got looms from RobinA3, Thank You!
Just need to instal them still.

Thanks

I see what people mean on the quality of the harnesses, very nice :applaus: fitted mine last night with some LEDS

In case anybody's interested these 501/194/T10 Anti Bulb Warning Xenon White Wide Angle 4 Leds (B) by Ultra Leds U.K LEDS.

Whilst not as cheap as some of the ebay ones, they do fit correctly and are working with my MY2010 A3 without having to mess with resistors etc. These ones are roughly double the brightness of a normal bulb, they do sell a normal brightness version too.

Many people have asked me if these looms will fit the Audi A4, i can confirm that they do!

I wished my A3 came with these from the factory.. but I guess I might need these kits soon. Would compliment well with the rest of my LED lights. Probably need all three of em! Though, do you ship worldwide? :banghead:

Yes i do send them worldwide, i have done several kits for members in germany, poland, athens and many other places.

Fitted my puddle lights including led for door handle today - piece of cake and easy with Robin's loom; top man! Cheers

hi robin,
have you also retro fitted the rear doors on a a4 avant ?and are these also easy to fit ?do i requirre extra long harness to power up the rear door lights ?.i currently own a audi a4 avant on 07 plate.
i looking to purchase the looms for both front and rear doors along with your footwell light kit.
can you email me a price for supply.....m.southern2@ntlworld.com

regards..alan

Hi Alan

The looms will also fit A4 avant doors, both the front and the rear. I have supplied a few A4 owners with the looms and they have been fitted with no issues.

I don't do footwell light looms for the A4 as i believe that the feed for the lights come from a water tight sealed control unit which i don't reccomend opening up.

Alan you have pm.
