Hi all,

Got awaken by mum n dad this morning to fing out that someone has come into the house / forced entry through PVC Doors. Been through all cupboards, come upstairs found the keys on the middle floor and took the RS4. The S3 was on the drive but my keys were with me!!!! They came in and took the keys and took the first Audi

To say the least I am FU*cking ****** off, drove round to see if it was local but nothing. My mum saw the people in the car and one person watching the house!!!!!

If anyone sees a Silver RS4 B7 Saloon " J1 PLM " round Bolton / Manchester area of origin.

FU*K SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are all fine etc , which is all well.

Dave

Terrible news Dave. I never know where to leave my keys. Usually in the jaws of my trusted dog!

I'm glad you're all ok.

Sorry to hear.

Just be thankfull you all made it unhurt.

This country needs to have some harsher punishments!

Terrible Dave, I will keep my eyes peeled. Any distinguishing features, A/M alloys, stickers, etc? Maybe post a pic?

Sorry to hear this Dave. I'm house hunting this week and am only after a place with a garage. Think I need to find a special place for my keys too.

Does he have a tracker?

Thats very unlucky, sorry to hear of your misfortune, you hear of this happening to others, then it's gut wrenching when it happens to you.

But, at lease you and family are ok, in the end, a car can always be replaced.

Damn man, sorry to hear Dave, at least its insured as crappy as it is, but of course doesnt make up for the house break in huh, very worrying I'm sure, time for a big dog, cctv & some form of authentication on the cars so not just keys needed to start & drive of, biometric would be good tbh, even solely would be better.

They should have a coding system on the RNSE or something similar that you have to input to overide the immobiliser before switching the engine, i hope the scallys get caught quickly

Really sorry to hear this - it happened to my father a few years ago - an old Merc! Glad everyone's ok though!

Could I please ask what the police have said / action taking?

Yes can do. Just found out that the previous owner had tracker which he didnt inform of. Tracker has been re enabled so we will see. Plod has been very good! Its been passed to a special unit in manc. Anyway of locking this thread to members only!!

Afraid not Dave.

It's great that they've re-enabled the tracker!

Gutted for you! Hope everything works out ok in the end.:angrymod:

This happened on our street a few weeks ago, the scum bags broke into a house and stole the keys, and made off with a VXR Astra. I always take my keys to bed with me, as I would like to have the opportunity to defend them.

Seems all too common now, I know of 4 or 5 people who have had this happen in the past few months! Surly there must be a (legal) way to protect our hard earned pride and joys?

You can get house alarms that you can activate once you're upstairs. A bit drastic and not viable for some people but I'm sure a big alarm going off would get the f**kers running. I'd want a remote for it to act as an attack alarm too.

when did this happen i swear i saw this rs4 in manchester town center last week it might of been your dad ..how ironic ..

also the effin $%^£ i wont say the rest .....

Good idea in theory but no good if your dog gets doped (which happened to my dog when we were burgled years ago)

Sadly a rare and desirable car like an RS4 (I've only ever seen 1) is probably in a container by now, a car like that isn't going to be stolen on a whim with no pre-planned way to get rid of it in a hurry! I know it sounds like something from Gone in 60 Seconds but its not like it doesn't happen.

Still, gutted for your old man but glad you're all okay. What's the betting the insurance company try to wriggle out of paying up or, given the current economic climate, at least drag it out for as long as unreasonably possible?

Yes you will have seenit last week, he was in Manchester quite abit. WEIRD!!! Wish you had seen it today though lol.

Dave Sorry to hear this mate, guess the main thing is that you guys are all ok and nobody got hurt considering they were in your house...

Hope something good comes of this.

Sorry to hear but just glad your all ok

As for where to leave your keys, Id say on the bottom step so they take them and feck off. Last thing you want is to be awaken with a walop to the head or some big guy holding one of the kids......

Dam what a shi*tter, cant have nothing these days without someone eyeing it up! :(

The old dear had two wheels nicked off her Astra VXR a few weeks ago, she parks the car round the corner at my grans now...

Dave

First of all sorry to hear about the car little consulation to you im sure but im gutted for you. As for the police "unit" thats it been passed to that will be my mate. I cant say about what he does and what they do for obvious reasons but believe me the teams work hard to recover cars and more importantly catch those responsible. I know this personally trust me.

To reassure you that car will be actively pursued to be recovered if its in GMP. Of course i cant make any promises that you will get it back (if you want it) but i will speak to my mate and make him aware of the car, he will already know though im sure.

Keep your chin up mate

Cheers

Hi Thanks,

It headed towards Bolton, I just wished the people got what they deserved!!!

My dad is just so gutted as he's worked all his life etc, and you can;t buy the RS4's anymore in the condition his was in. THe car theives turned up in a Focus ST which was dumped left unlocked etc and then went away in an RS4. The police have now recovered that vehicle for analysis / intelligence.

David,

The problem is I am now concerned about my car, as they will have definatlely seen it. They managed to get the RS4 keys before mine.

I can feel a REVO coming on...

David

Terrible news mate! Realy sorry to hear this,
I presume you are looking at the revo Sps switch so you could disable your car whenever you leave it? Good thinking!
Hope this gets sorted out Fairly for your dad,
Cheers Matt

Dave

It might help i dont know but the Focus ST im guessing will be stolen when its examined and im sure they wont return. These "teams" are so called "professionals" and dont keep cars for long. They steal cars to commit other crimes then dump the car then steal another etc etc. So what im trying to say is that it would be very very unlikely they would come back a) police will be actively in the area where your RS4 was stolen looking for it and or other high powered hgh value cars and b) people (yourself/neighbours) etc will be a lot more vigilant so they wouldnt risk it they dont need to risk going back it sucks but theres plenty of audi's/bmw's/merc's/vw's etc to steal so why take the chance of being seen.

Ive been the victim of crime and although once the anger goes you wonder if they will return high value car theives dont tend to in my experience. Im only speaking from experience obviously i can ever say they wont that would be wrong but what i can say is to you its gutting and sucks......to them its another car to do another crime (probably cash robbery/car theft etc). Sorry for the lack of emotion i might show i do feel for you what im trying to do is put it in perspective ie i doubt they will come back theyve got what they wanted.

Please assure your family it will be highly unlikely. Keep me posted of any news. Passed on the car details to my mate when hes back at work tommorow.

Personally I'd go for a remote control taser integrated into the drivers seat...

"Here, take my keys... please!" (snigger!)

Let the fecker get in the drivers seat and... :jump:

Mate consider my eyes peeled pal, from Blackburn so will ask some questions because theres plenty of scrotes round this way capable of something as crappy as that.

Keys to bed thats my rule.

The problem is my family feels vulnerable and unsafe in our own house now no matter what and has a huge effect on a 12 year old.
I really would do something bad to the people who inflict this, I know you get in trouble but they deserve everything they get.

Dad doesn;t want the car back now, just a matter of getting a payout now.

Yes you will have seenit last week, he was in Manchester quite abit. WEIRD!!! Wish you had seen it today though lol.

Yes it was very mint to , its sad to hear , but i was robbed to and they took my Audi along with ps3 , camcorder , girlfriends engagement ring the baby's umbilical cord clip was on the car keys that was the most hurtful thing they took alot of stuff whilst we were all in bed and i didn't hear a thing although the misses woke up to our car driving off , I completely feel for you i turned into a paranoid psycho for about 4 month's it was terrible but time heals mate ...

We just couldn't afford a house alarm at the time due to moving in , But after the burglary i put a infrared sensor in the living room that is so loud your ears nearly bleed , il be up in seconds with a weapon , The point is you should get something like this and a bedroom mortise lock for the 12 year old , it will make him/her feel much more secure and safe even if its just mentally alot of gangs from old ham and Blackburn and Bolton are at this even gorton where i live , There just shyte , they will burn in hell ....

Really sorry to hear this makes me so angry how people get away with this! years ago when we first moved into our new house we got broken into, we were the only house on the street of 6 houses without an alarm so thats why we were targeted i reckon, a matter of months later our car was stolen from our street, so many thieving A-holes these days

Maybe an exchuse to beef up the entry points to your house abit. If it causes them to make a racket and delays them trying to get into the house they might give up.

The guy I bought my S3 off had an rs4 for a while and he had a retractable bollard on his drive to stop people driving off with his car.

O measures have been taken.

I just hope and that God will make them burn to death at some point in time or they lose something like a child. Its very harsh but thats what some people deserver and they know it. What goes around comes around, maybe one day they will get caught by someone better than them and swings the baseball bat right around the chops. You can't always win thats life and Im sure they will come unstuck at some point.

David

Jesus dave lose a child ?? Dont wish that on anyone , it's a piece of metal at the end of the day i totally understand your anger though .... They will get what's coming eventually
