After waiting 10 days for them to arrive and breaking 3 finger nails and shredding one finger removing the old vents, I now have my Audi TT air vents fitted.

Many thanks to Cryptic23 for his guidance on the ebay seller and hints on how to fit them!

A little expensive for a cosmetic change, but they look a damn sight better than the standard A3/S3 chrome ringed ones.

Part numbers (not sure why there are two) for anyone that wants to try it are 8J0 820 901 D and 8P0 820 901.

Will grab a quick photo when the light's better tomorrow.

To quote Cryptic23's PM to me:

you simply turn the dial in the middle of the on settings ( twist right ) you feel the ones you have will have 3 different positions , you just make sure that you are not in any of the 3 positions. Then just pull them out and put the new ones in.

Let your finger nails grow a bit as you'll need to get them behind the old vents to prise them out. They are a tight fit.

When you put the new vents in, there's a raised bit on the left side of it that'll slide into a groove in the vent hole.

It was a 10 minute job for a bumbling idiot like me, so you'll have no probs!

Why using fingers when a flat screwdriver would have done it in seconds if done correctly & wont damage a thing, its damn sight easier to, just get under one side, pull upwards slightly, then do alternative side, should be enough then to wiggle the rest out, but make sure vents are set to half open so the plastic wheel mechanism doesnt get caught & break of, also when putting in new, set the vents to the half open position, then check the plastic wheel on the bottom is set to the middle, as this affects the use if wheel not set center when fully open/closed is selected.

That's is where i got mine from , he is slow with the postage took about 10 days. But i got mine and they where as in the above pic.

Stefann is sound mate, used him myself for number of things before.

This is a very cool mod.:icon_thumright:
Makes the stock ones look a bit cack actually.
Maybe one for the future.

Anyone got a car i could try it on before i do my own?? Lol. Just kidding.

Might have to invest in some of these bad boys too. Jobs well done guys

Shame there isnt a market for the std ones.........i have 4 spare :)

140 euros so you can have silver surrounds on your vents instead of black?
