Hi all just had my car MOT went straight through apart from broken rear coil which i new was something supension related as it was not right,it was replaced, so its all good :sm4:, i looked through the mot today it said advisory note:-

"Oil leak from boot area???" i thought oh no something else is going to need to be done, i was going to phone them up to ask if they knew what it was but decided to have a look myself, sure enough there is oil on i think its the rear diff bit, and was a little on my drive,

Then lol i went to get a cd out of the changer in the boot, and noticed my 1 litre top up bottle of oil in its leather case was in the middle of the boot normally its stuck on the side picked it to find the oil had leaked out of the cap through a plastic bag and then through a leather case, and then onto my mat, i lifted mat to find its dripped throught the spare wheel and must be fiinding its way out, about 3/4 of the bottle gone lol, will prob need a new mat, and going to give the spare wheel which has never been used a clean and the well tommorrow oh well at least its not mechanical, im really suprised they did not find it out to be this lol

rear diff would be a bad one.

TBH, they probably didn't even look in the boot. Just looked up when they saw the oil drips when she was on the ramp, and advised so as to say we saw it and documented it, but it's not a fail
