Got a new Golf Mk6, disappointing..

At speeds lower than 20 mph it's **** add that to laggy turbo diesel behaviour and it's not the smoothest thing in the world round town. I like to drive smoothly and the A3 like to make me look a right learner twonk sometimes

A well specced A3 and a GTI with a couple of nice options come to roughly the same price...

The GTI is streets ahead in terms of handling though, as nice as the A3 is.

if you read all my posts mate and not just the first you will see your repeating what i said , im on about style the golf could even cost more it just dosent have style like the a3 ....

Well I sat in a new Scirocco tonight and I have got to say if the Mk6 golf interior is anything like that then the A3 is streets ahead in quality.

On the facelifted S3s I have been looking at during my purchase decision, the row of buttons below the double din stereo/nav slot are pretty disappointing. Their alignment has usually been out, plus the crude and hard plastic used appears very un-Audi like

Have to agree totally shocking state of these new fitments, alignment is poor, even the colour match of the buttons is terrible, some buttons arent even flush, very disappointing & seen this on number of new cars & new parts fitted to my car, I've tried 2-3 sets of them & different cage & didnt make difference so it is the manufacturing not my car or others who have the 09 facelift, very much bad by audi on this & really starting to see some lax in design & quality by VAG at the moment.

As for Golf GTI is poor mans A3, thats stupid IMHO, the GTI styling from stock is better than the A3 externally, it has more sportier look & so does the R32, but the interior is a letdown & when I drove the GTI & R32 on test drives I was let down by the feel from this aswell, otherwise the GTI would be on my drive, the A3 I have ok I admit styling externally wasnt as good as GTI but it ticked everyother box & now I've added the better styling it makes up for the lesser GTI looks mostly, but I'll admit I do like looking at a MK5 GTI on the road.

im saying from what i see everyday and cant be blamed on chavs .... skodas and seat drivers are tits ...you will notice just givit time or is it all in my paranoid head do we really take it in the **** .....lol maybe i am a **** ...

do you remember mg montegos was it and ,maestros pretty rapid but tits all the same...... seat is the new mg in my eyes alway trying to take on people for nothing ending upside down on the main roads.....

come on nhn are you trying to say a golf externally looks better than and a3 ....not sure what planet your on there mate there's no way ....the twin exaust on the r32 look nice thats it the audi looks meaner has more style inside and out , looks classy but also says dont f&*% about the golf looks ok but alot cheaper styling wise ......

Moving forward, the MK6 isnt far of a MK5 interms of styling, no real major differences tbh that make me go ooooh lovely new car, have to have, rocco ye, but mk6, no, cant see point.

I said clearly IMHO, that doesnt mean anyone else has to agree with me, but yeah the GTI, not a bog standard golf, but GTI does look better styled externally than the equivalent A3 SLine, its beyond a doubt better looking externally, again I say IMHO only

& my planet is taken from test driving both cars & looking at various different ones over months deciding if I wanted one or not, A3 I got ticked more boxes at the time, so thats what did it even if the GTI was better looking at the time, but with some money well spent I like what the A3 looks like at the moment, but the GTI & R32 do still turn my head everytime I see one, its just a shame the interior turns me away

Scirocco is based upon the Eos, which is the Mk5 dash with different air vents. For MY10 they're changing the instrument cluster to include the white DIS from the Mk6/A3 and also moving to a Mk6-style MSFW (which is nicer, but has something of a Corsa VXR about it).

Standard kit is quite generous though, so I guess they had to save money somewhere.
