Hi,

I really hope someone can help me with this. I currently have an A4 2.5 TDi S-line, 05/06 plate, B6 chassis with the split grille. I want the facelift bumber, grille, headlights (LED) and any other components needed to give it the newer 2007-2008 look. the inside of the car is exactly how i want it and don't see myself getting anything better. I've emailed quite a few companies that offer conversions while i've been writing this, hopefully hear something back.
Is there anybody that has already done this that can help by supplying part numbers or where i might be able to get this done.

any help is truly appreciated.

Duncan

I've seen some B7 avants on a 54 plate and some B6 saloons on an 05 plate, which confuses the hell out of me!

Ok I might be wrong then, I have never seen any B6's later than a 54 myself. Its strange that, as its usually the saloons released before the Avants

Oh No, another one who's bought a motor they dont really like...

Dont take this the wrong way but if you dont like the front end then why didnt you Buy a B7??? saved a little longer and just got what you wanted!!!

James, point him to the "howdyquattro" thread mate, I cant find it again...

Thanks for that mate, i bought the car in 06 so the new facelift shape was just a twinkle in a designers eye so it would have been a little hard to save for something i didn't know was coming out, but thanks anyway.

I already found the thread you were on about aswell, once i trawled through the forum, i pm'd the guy that did his conversion, great work and was after something similar myself, hope he gets back to me.

I appreciate the reply from both you guys but didn't really help me in any way, thanks anywho.

....and how are we supposed to know you had the car since 06????

If you had of said that in the first place you would have got a more sensible reply:whistle2:.

With respect Dunc we do try to help, but your first post was pretty vague! You said your car was an 05/06 plate, well which? It makes a big difference! And you said you wanted the 'Facelift' headlight with LED's, by this I assume you mean the new shape B8 headlights with the LED running lights?

You then go on to say you bought the car in 06, I take it this was new or else it is meaningless! So I am assuming you have a B7 shape, although now you have said it's a 05 plate. Apparently there are some very late B6's on an 05 plate, although I have never seen one myself.

So I still am unsure whether you have a B6 or B7 chassis!

We are happy to try and help mate but remember we aren't professionals (or mindreaders) and the more you tell us the more we might be able to help you.

How about a nice pic to clear things up once and for all?

Well said James, couldnt have put it better mate!:arco:

guys. . . he's got a 2.5 TDi - this was only in the B6, i have seen 05 B6's

so its a B6 and therefore he bought it used in 06.

but his point above about not knowing the B7 was coming out is flawed as the B7 came out in 2005 . . . on a 55 plate

mystery solved :hi:

Yes but IF he had of said he bought it in 2006 then he would had better advice from us, it sounds like he's just bought it recently, NOT before the B7 was coming out.
Not a Mystery mate, Just lack of Info in the Thread he started with.
Dont matter now though.:end_of_discction:

J7USS - were you comments on the seller wrt Revenge Body Styling?

Jsut asking because I can't see them on eBay?

J7USS - thanks mate - coiming up with the goods, yet again.... so you reckon a bit dodge? I'm seriously tempted and at £165-ish, it might be worth it as a tester... I've sent them some questions and I'll let you know how prompt / accurate their feedback is.

JohnnyBoy... I kinda know what you're saying - if it was a £1000 or so to swap my 2.5TDi Quattro Sport for a B7 2.7TDI Quattro S-Line, then I'd gladly put up with the pinched look on the front-end versus my silver/grey two-tone look, but the fact is it's not, so even if it is a much newer car, an extra £8k for a facelift is a lot extra to pay... I've not driven a B7, but it's the same chassis but apparently with slightly sharper setup on the steering (and from what I've seen, very similar interiors to the smarter B6's - i.e. mine;) )

(yes, I know - apparatenly I "NEED" to get the RS4 pedals ;) - or at least clean them before photo's!)

If I had >£8k to throw at a car, I would have been sniffing around for an early 2005 (C6) 3.0TDI Quattro A6 - that's a perfect blend of B6/B7 looks with a few tweaks to make it look more agressive, but keeping it slightly understated at the same time.... albeit a bit bigger than I was really after.

i have sent the seller of that bodykit many emails and i have never got a straight full answer from them, they just say its excellent quality and everything is included, they will not go into detail.
if they would i would have bought it by now.

just had a reply from the bodykit seller ,he said that the bonnet extension/audi grills and fitting kit is included for £170 !
something seems wrong !

:lmfao:...well its either going to be a steal.......or complete *****, Who's willing to test...:undwech:...which You never know as that is Veeeerrrrry Verrrrrrry Cheap...

to get 4 x Audi grills in that honeycomb is about the same price as he's charging for the bumper, grills and bonnet extension?!?

delivery is £35 via DHL... which is a nuisance delivery option for me, so I'll have to wait until there's a week when I know I'll be at home, so I'm not gonan jump for a few months yet. n e body else?

advertised as "£169 inc 17.5% VAT", so I guess it's £165 now? So £200 inc deliver and VAT....

I reckon if it was that good then you'd be seeing alot of A4 B7 Looky-Likeys.
It is dirt cheap so can only imaging the Quality you get is going to be shocking judging by some of the Batman kits he also sells.

I do Quite like the Back Bumper he sells with that kit though, An RS4 B7 diffuser modded into that would look alright IMO.

im tempted to buy it but have no trust in the seller or the quality of the bumper and i have convinced myself that there will be lots missing !
i think i will go for this instead http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=290304047385
but the seller of this ignores my emails when i ask for a pic of the actual item for sale !

That company is based in Leicester, you should speak to some one from around that area to go and have a look at one for you ;)

:whistle2:

ah yeah so it is, forgot about these boys, Infact I was going to take a trip up there when I first got this blue one to look at their ABT(atp, A..TB.....B or whatever its called) grill.
I wonder if I get a chance at the weekend, I reckon I could squeeze a visit if I get my jobs done early.literally 10 odd miles from me.

i tend to think they wont have any in stock and just order them when a buyer orders but may be wrong.
i will give them a call tomorrow and try to clear things up, if they fill me with confidence i will order the front bumper.

sorry lads, i'll put a few pics up for you , hope it clears up the confusion a bit. Little bit of info, I bought the car in august '06, only had 9,000 on the clock, the guy had it brand new september 05.

howdy quattro: did you get my message mate?

Dunc

Howdy quattro: hi mate, dammit, thought i sent it, basically what it said was that the conversion you did to your a4 is exactly what i'm after, as you can see in this thread i have a 2.5tdi convertible on a b6 chassis, i've emailed loads of sites that offer conversions and kits but saw the work you did on your car and it is exactly what i've been trying to explain to them, but to no avail so far.

In the pm i said i asked if it was possible for you to do the same to my car or if you knew anybody that would be interested in doing it or even the part numbers required would be helpful, I know some modifications were done on your part so I can understand if you didn't want to do it again. The finshed job i thought was spot on to what i'm after. Let me know what you think mate and thanks for messaging back.

Dunc

oh ok, you probably did send it mate but i've had a few probs with my private messages on this forum coz i've had like hundreds of pm's from people about the conversion. I'm not available to do the job myself mate as i kinda only did it as a one off to see if i could do it, plus i'm flat out at the minute with other projects, but your more than welcome to print off a copy of my pics and either take them into a local bodyshop or email them to people that do bodywork for a living. with the photos in front of them the people who are in the know will have a good idea of what to do and more importantly how much theyl sting you for doing the job!! i wouldn't hav a clue how much they would charge you mate but if you use oem parts then the finished product should be just the same. think only juss has seen the finished article in person on this site tho. so you'll hav to ask him what he thinks of it coz i'm very biased!!

elo dunc, im in the process of doing this conversion to my a4 convertible, iv gathered all the parts but its just due to the recession money is a bit tight so as soon as i save up a bit of cash i will be getting a bodyshop to do the conversion for me.

the parts that you need are the following, this is according to the howdy_quattro conversion who was very helpful in providing me with the info needed :)

b7 bonnet
b7 front bumper including grilles
b7 front wings (both sides)
b7 front slam panel
b7 headlights

and i think that is all that is needed, correct me if i am wrong howdy_quattro:happy:

i have nothing more to teach you young jedi...............now get em done so im not the only one on a stand with it done!!

do not worry my friend, you will be the first to know once it is done, and thanks for all the info once again howdy_quattro, much appreciated :)
