Just driven an RS4.... Bit fast arn't they?

Who wants a turbo when you have more cylinders!

I'd looked at options for a supercharger but there is hehaw space to fit one off the pulley system. It was the seduction of no lag LOL. Will just fill the boot with NO2

Might as well add a supercharger, turbo and nos........

Oh no here we go, competing threads

sorry mate I am heeving from 2nd bout of cold/flu, can you fecking believe it, slowed me down somewhat.

Front ARB is on but rear is knocking on lower arm so gotta get out there for images to send over to eibach & see if I can resolve with a spacer between the bush & the metal stopper on each side of the arb if that makes sense as there's a 2-3mm gap each side thats now slid over to one side so think thats why its knocking, but still the poxy bar design is flawed cause can see it would knock if suspension was lower.

isnt somebody else on forum running the eibachs'? Not heard anybody else having an issue.

Years ago I fitted a GTi front ARB to my MK2 golf. Made helluva difference, so much my mate wanted one too. Helped him fit it, spoke to him few weeks later and said he liked it but got a knocking on lock to lock - we'd put it on upside down LOL :whistle2:

You can talk all you like, next week I have got the keys to the faster car in the world, thats right, its a rental car while mine goes in for paint.

......it will be fastest, even if its a KA, I'll prove it!!

Hehe your not the first i,ve heard of fitting a Mk2 Golf ARB the wrong way!!!

I fitted Eibach arbs to my MK2 and like you said made a hell of a difference!

we want pics of you drifting it on a race track, returned to the rental place like Jonny knoxville did in jackass 2!

Your right there Lee, Hire/courtesy cars are the fastest cars in the world!

Thank god LOL, couldn't believe it especially after I'd done mine ok! It was a cheap mod, £25 out of a scrappy including bushes & droplinks LOL

Bet that was annoying having to drop the subframe again!

You still got the MK2???

I,ve still got mine, currently trying to find a G60 engine to drop in there :)

Gets torch & camera out........................................

nope, sold it over 15 years ago lol. TBH, I had a MK1 1100cc golf before it and apart from the brakes it was the most fun car to drive that I've ever owned.

lol, given state I feel at moment its not beyond comprehension somethings gone amiss, lol, but lets hope my mate mechanic also knew what he was doing, well fecking better had as I paid him even if a mate

By all accounts its as per Eibachs instructions & images, it cant go anyother way given how it bends down & then onto the connecting link, even the images from eibach show the rear lower arm very close to the bar, gonna jack it up tomorrow & check it for marks as think me & audi found some last saturday when collecting parts, but that was after a general anesthetic I might add, lol

:fart:

Remapped B5 RS4's eat remapped or even big turbo'd S3's for breakfast lol.

Now that I would agree with, they were & are still lovely looking & lucifer himself has one, stunning car overall

Might as well add a supercharger, turbo and nos........

Maybe as an aside someone will chuck in the Gumpert Apollo which after all is basically a twin turbo RS4 engine and a few other bits. :)

(and yes...I am joking)

Not.:weight_lift2:

460+ bhp, 525lbft with a stage 2. They make a laughing stock of S3's, boost from 2000-7000rpm. Even with a bigger turbo on an S3 you get killed as it narrows the power band so the RS4 gets an even bigger ahead start before an S3 gets on boost. More capacity, more cylinders and double the number of turbo's its a one horse race.

.. but old and ugly :)

RS4 B5 was far from ugly & tbh its not that old interms of looks/styling, but as they say in the eye of the beholder, I'd still have one & the S3 isnt exactly big on styling tbh, its nice but far from a clear S branded Audi as per the S3 8L was, loved that car & styling between the A3 & S3 was distinctive for sure but its not so on the 8P, facelift front shows it all, but facelift front is also a VW Tiguan front, its not even new ***, just saw a facelift of the Q7 today, couldnt see feck all different, but also today saw a lovely Scirocco in black today & it was lovely looking on the road, its a definite possibility of next car, just want 4wd version & dsg.

funny cause was discussing things like adding s3 engine into a3 & 4wd, lol, was completely on the fly discussion tbh, but guess you can port the golf 6 parts over anyway cause same, but then again the rocco will have this anyway sometime soon, cant imagine they wont tbh, much nicer looking car than the golf when its tarted up anyway.
