Is this a good buy ?

http://usedcars.audi.co.uk/carview.aspx?id=600426258#

I currently have a MK5 GTI but would think i prefer going back to a Diesel Engine as better mpg , cheaper insurance and road tax.

Has anyone got a A3 brochure from 2007 on pdf ?

Has the A3 got autodimming drivers mirror, comming home lights/switch on auto , autowindscreen wipers like the Golf ?

I am disapointed that this one has leather but the seats are not heated. I have in my current Golf the VW Ipod connector which i would need in a A3 and also Cruise Control which i think is brilliant ..... it seems more expensive to Retro fit CC in an Audi.

On the otherside this car has leather, GSM prep and parking sensors!

Any advice would be great!

I have a copy of all the 2007 Price and Specification Brochures for the A3 as PDF files so if you would like to send me a PM with an email address I will happily send you the appropriate file.

I have a 2007 A3 Sportback 2.0TDI-170 S-tronic at the moment but mine is an SE spec. I have done around 28,000 miles and I have just agreed a good deal to change it for a new one with basically the same spec but with a 140 version of the new common-rail diesel engine.

I chose the 170 over the 140 in my present car because it was quieter and smoother. I have test driven both the common-rail 140 and 170 and now it seems to be the other way round and the new 140 seems to be able to deliver more torque at lower revs, so I decided this time to go for the 140.

I love the S-tronic having had it on both my previous 140 and my current 170 and I've specified it for my new one. Personally I think it's great and I would never want to go back to a manual gearbox. I tend to drive most of the time in 'manual' mode using the paddles and centre lever but without having to keep pressing the clutch pedal.

Topic Review (Newest First) Thanks i will PM my email now :) , its no goot with the latest spec ! , being that i got the GTI i want something a bit special (i've not had the GTI too long... but can see it is going to be expensive!)

I've never had an automatic or a semi to be honest so would be something new for me if i went for this one , in terms of the car is it a good buy ?

How come your an A3 person and not a Golf then ?

That one hasn't (light and rain sensor pack is the option name), but it can be retro-fitted. You're looking at about £500 for that.

I don't think CC retro-fit is much more expensive in an audi, should be £200 or there abouts.

I've had 5 Golfs in the past - 3 GTIs and a VR6 included. I had 4 Audis between the GTIs and the VR6. I went from the VR6 to an A3 1.8T Sport when VW stopped making the VR6 and have never looked back. I'm now on my 6th A3 with no 7 on order.

do you think the car is a good buy ?

Would you think it is better than the Golf GTI ?
