As my Breakdown cover is due soon, I am having a look around at who is doing the best deal and for the best price.

I am currently with Endsleigh, not had to use them in the 2 years I have had them, but there cover was a basic one covering breakdown service and towing back to local garage for £38, covering the car, not the driver.

Who are you with, whats the service like and value for money???

Cheers
Nilz

RAC for me, but mt mate is aslo the local RAC guy.

RAC for me too, service has always been ok - except for the usual breakdown issues, sending the wrong truck even though I told them the car is a quattro etc ...

I am a member of the Audi Owners Club which entitles you to a 25% saving which instantly refunds the membership cost and more ;) With discount joint cover comes to just under £90 which isn't the minimum level of cover, I can't remember the exact name for the level of cover we have.

Rac for me, had them out twice last year and they have always been ok apart from when they refused to load my track car on to a low loader as they said my car was modified and 2 low.

I've been with AA since I started to own Turbocharged cars, had to use them twice in 7 years, plus my cover follows me, so I can help others if I'm a passenger.

Nice one Jo, so i dont need cover now, i can just pretend to be you (although i'll have to pad myself up a bit 1st :moa:)

I did see the deals on MSE, so might just end up going for the RAC deal.

Cheers guys

LOL...good idea, not that i would condone that of course ;)

I get AA cover through my bank to, had them out a couple of times in the past and they've been great, just what you want at these sad times...

Greenflag through my insurance company... - get a good price, better than through RAC, had been with them 2 years, never called them out, and yet every year the price went up, with the no call discount, so gave up. Saving £5 a month with insurance company on same like for like service.

Not had to use them yet, so cannot comment on service (not could I RAC)

I get it as part of my Premier bank account, might be an idea for you guys to look into that as you get other things for less money, for example I get Annual travel insurance for my family and mobile phone insurance too.

Had RAC when I owned a Renault Clio 16v (i was young, spare me the taunts). Used them 4 times in 2 years and couldn't fault them.

Saw the light and bought my Audi and cancelled the cover. Have had 6 yrs of trouble-free motoring so even if I have to pay a call-out i'm quids in :)

AA on my dad's policy. Just have to remember to give my parent's address when I ring up. On my membership card it says I've been a member since 1966 (7 years before I was born!)

Haha im exactly the same mine says member since 1974 (11 years before i was born)...

It works out quite expensive as he gets the whole hog from the AA but to add me to that policy was only £12 a year..

Used them twice in 2/3 years, been really really good. Once i didnt call them van just drove past when i had a flat and sorted it for me and another time my aux belt frayed and came out sorted it promptly

Could be a good idea to get on a family policy

You may already be aware, but if you and the missus have one of those joint accounts you both get the bennefits while only paying the monthly bill once...then you both just have your own basic accounts that cost nout...

same here. I'm with HSBC plus. it's a personal cover. So breakdown cover would cover any car you are in
