S4 alloys on a 1.8tqs? What size needed?

Will a set of oem S4 Alloys (6 spoke) fit straight on to a 2000 1.8t quattro sport saloon?

They are:
17x7.5
45 offset
5 stud
225/45/17 tyres
Part number: 8D0 601 025 N
No idea what the pcd is though.

Will these fit? Will all 17 inch S4 avus alloys fit, from both b5 and b6?
Will my original bolts be ok or do I need longer or shorter ones?

Lastly, anyone have any for sale!!

offset is a little high (makes wheel sit IN the arch) but they bolt straight on.
you should be looking at around ET35
no need for change of bolts though

I have 8.5x18 ET35 wheels on, no problem, plenty of space

Is 35 offset just a personal preference for some when buying new alloys and they have the choice?

ET45 is standard S4 offset, and will be fine on your QS.

Most aftermarket will be ordered as ET35 - 38. It's popular, because it fills out the arches more, but with certain geometry settings, and dependent on ride height, they're more likely to tramline.

The 1,8TQS is a less powerful car than the S4, lighter too.

Torque tends to pull the wheels in under full power - toes the wheels in.

It makes wheels with lower ET numbers less suitable for big torque, as the car may tramline.

We know these things, but we tend to modify our cars to suit our personal taste.

I have 20mm spacers on the rear of my car to space them out.

Unless some 1.8T quattro's got different Boleros.

I have the standard ten spokes on at the moment (usual ones with the peeling polished lip).

All the replies are appreciated though I have to admit most of it is going over my head.

sorry, just being an ****, not meaning to contradict everything you say : )

that said I have just had my arches pulled and am planning on running ET20 RS4 wheels with 10mm spacers to clear my brakes and give me a bit of a wider track. sure it will probably tramline a bit, but as I rarely drive in a straight line I hope I won't notice!
