Client's just bought an R8 for his wife:ohmy:
Getting a shot next week when I go for lunch with him.
I might get a shot of his DB9 at the same time.
Either that or he'll take the DB9 and I'll take the R8.
I'll report back next week.:hi:

Sounds good...you lucky git!...BUT ,lets hope its a manual hey lol???

Very nice - I pal of my dad's has one, hopefully getting a ride out in that soon!
Let's hope you don't find a problem with it :whistle2:

Do they come with DSG?
I don't know much about the R8 at all.
The one in the TV ad looks like a manual, so I assumed they all were.

The Semi Auto's use the same gearbox that they use in the Lambo Gallardo I think and the same 4WD system, so max of about 20% going to the front wheels!
Either way - you'll love it - whole different experience to and 'every day' car!

I'm doing the Ultimate Super Car expereince at Thruxtong mid August... can not wait!

It has an exhaust note..

I doubt you'll like it:nyah:

i don't know you but i hate you :ninja:

lol, only joking, have fun mate, get pics! looking at doing one of those r8 red letter days myself, 99 quid :readit:

I've booked one - going to Mallory Park on the 13th September for a go in the R8.

Will let you know how i get on....

Bowfer looking forward to driving an Audi !!.......................that's not something that happens very often, Lol.

Well let's hope he doesn't have to put the fuel in it - ouch.

I sat in one at Goodwood FoS and he will be suprised at how familiar the switchgear will seem, the manual gate on the g-box was lovely though.

I'd rather have a go of his DB9, any day.
That's my dream motor.

Have you ever heard the DB9 GT race cars?
Feck me, those things sound amazing... nearly as good as the Lambo Murcielago GT1 car

sound of DB9 is great but I prefere driving R8 (on race track is exelent) than DB9. But for me 997Turbo is much better then those two :)

I've never driven a car with this sort of power, but I'm not expecting to be completely overwhelmed.
Midly impressed, maybe.
I'm used to bikes, don't forget.
Maybe I should take the bike and race him....(wonder what the weather's like next week...)

Lucky you bowfer! This is a car rated by much of the press to be as good as the 911, so it ought to feel special.Don't crash it ...

A car will never give the sensations you get from a bike.
Chances are you will be underwhelmed.
Even the DB9 wont compare to a fast bike.

Speaking about acceleration, I was on 'Stealth' at Thorpe park, last week.
0-80mph in three seconds.
Jesus, that was acceleration.
You honestly felt like your internal organs were being moved.

R8 is seriously good car but while i was driving it I was thinking why this car doesn't have more power.... RS6 engine would be much better :)
