Next car...

Yea its 225bhp standard but its had a few bits done to it. I did an insurance quote and its just under £800 a year which is fine.

That sounds reasonable enough. I queried insurance for a 2001 S6 worth about £10,000. Was quoted £730 and that included using the car for work purposes too.

I might add though that I'm 35. About 9 mentally though lol.

Nice little motor for the summer.

The only thing that lets the roadster down is that is looks a bit odd with the roof up. Does look the biz with it down though with those nice shiny roll hoops.

Hopefully if we get a summer this year he won't have to worry about the looks with the roof up . What sort of money is this going for btw?

£9995 with about 60k if i remember rightly. It's private though so i would have to find someone to buy mine.

Sounds good. If it was me I would definitely be considering buying that.

Need to drive one really. But yea i'm very tempted. As it's rare and the wheels are worth plenty on there own.

Cant stand the older shaped TT, I understand why people like them but just not my cup of tea at all

Ha ha banter banter banter.

The more i look around the more i think i love my car. So maybe treat it to a few bits for the summer. Ready for the next meet. I dunno ...

Ha ha time will tell. I want a new car but i also wanna finish mine off.

I keep getting "when are you getting rid of your old mans family car"

Well it was a girl who said that so yea you're right :moa:

It looks like im gonna keep it a little while longer. Do a few more bits to it then a newer faster audi...

Is that not dead money though? Constructive critisism, why spend money on a car you dont like any more, the money you spend on it could cover the difference lost in a trade in deal for a newer car and better base for modding, just an idea

Yea i see your point. But i know now after looking around that there's nothing else i want at the moment. Apart from an S5 :ermm:. So i'll proberably end up keeping it another year. Might treat it to some new shoes or something to freshen it up for the summer.

Are you looking for new or older? How about a mint Lancia Delta Intergrale?? Anywhere between 6k and 10k

Oh i thought it was gonna be old fashioned fisticuffs then for a second

tut tut. Lottie getting into scraps again :haudrauf:

:whistle2:

Strip to the waist and fight like men!

.........i'll get my coat

I'm sooooo looking forward to this meet now.:eiertritt:

hi m8

i have been in a similar position to you for the past 3 months, i had a straight 6, 2.5 bm e36 coupe and loved it, and then i started looking for somthing else, i was also seriously considering a mini cooper s but every time i nailed the straight 6 engine of my bmw i couldnt bring my self to get rid :racer:

any way finally bit the bullet and, and replaced it with an early S3 this weekend and it is by far the best thing ive done ! its everything the Mini copper s trys to be ! im glad i didnt get a mini!

anyways good luck finding somthing you want :hi:

Help i'm bored of my car again lol. The cooper s is definately out of the window. But now i'm thinking maybe a lotus elise or a older boxter. I'm after something go kart like and rear wheel drive. Under 10 grand too. Any thoughts?

I wouldnt spend any more money on it if you are bored its just a total waste and it will never keep you happy in the long run

RWD, hmmm, Honda S2000, Nissan 200sx S15 (import only)

I like the idea of a s2000 but it's insurance group 20 apparently and my current insurance company wont insure me untill im 25.

Just did a search on a s15 and there's not many about at all. I've always thought they were a very good looking car and obviously very quick. Could be worth a search.

Nissan 350Z? You could get one at £10,000 at a push.

BMW Z4's worth considering, i used to have one & loved it. Superb RWD handling, peach of an engine & ther're surprisingly practicle. You should be able to find an early 2003 for 10k-ish...

Look into the S15 if you want something different, lots of genuine importers about. www.sxoc.com is the owners club, I had an S14 and didnt personally like it as it had crap handling standard but they sorted all that out and upped the power on the S15. Plus they look awesome and they are very rare on the roads

Not a real fan of of jap cars.

My cousin has a 200sx drift car with a 1000 bhp skyline lump in it, he put's it into the european drift championships apparently. Not my cup of tea all that larking around.

His Pug 205 with 4 wheel drive and a 350 bhp sunny GTIR lump was pretty tasty though.

For £10k you could get a Smart Roadster Brabus, 115bhp per ton, mid-engined & rear wheel drive and a total total total laugh to drive!! Not to mention cheap on insurance, tax, and 50mpg+ if your gentle with it. On the downside they're only 2 seats and have no room to carry much! Other option is to get a standard Roadster like mine which dosent have some of the bodywork add-ons of the Brabus nor some of the leather & metal trims in the cabin, but they're on average £2k less for a fully loaded one compared to the Brabus, only 90 bhp per ton as standard but a £150 remap will get you a reliable 120bhp per ton!!

All i'd say is go for a little test drive just for a laugh, you'd be hard pressed not to break into a smile!

Cheers for the input guys i have lots to look through there. I have an importer looking into to what he can do for me on a S15. I hadn't thought of a Z4 but i will definately look into that. The 350z is hard to find for under 10k plus fuel and performance could be better. Brabus roadster... hmmmm i like them but i dunnooooo. Maybe i should take one for a spin.
