RS3 Build Tracker Spreadsheet

I had this email drop a few days ago , the last I was told car was at build week 9, but now had email saying car is in build so if the email is right it’s jumped a bit closer again which is great news, not sure how accurate these notifications are
same with my VS RS3. It also states it will take 3 weeks for the build to complete unless there are issues. Then to the final checks.

I have just heard that the RS3 and the TTRS have been discontinued and the FL has been canned!? Has anyone here got any meat to put on the bones of this?

There was a YouTube video demonstrating the last R8, TTRS and the RS3 performance editions a short while ago. They said in that video it was the end of the road for the R8 and TTRS but not the RS3, however, it wouldn’t surprise me if they do pull the plug on a FL or new edition as low emissions etc are getting harder to meet.

That would be interesting if that's the case. Wouldn't be hugely surprising, but definitely a shame if so... Where did you hear that from, and how reliable do you think the source is?

It came from the Sales Manager at Sytner Audi in Derby.

Fair enough, you'd like to think that he's maybe a reasonably reliable source. But when are they going to make it public knowledge if so I wonder?

Although it could just be the RS3 in the lineup that's being cancelled due to emissions or something? He did say it was the RS3 and TTRS that might've been canned which would point to the engine I guess.

When they stopped orders, didn't they also stop order for the high power petrol Q8 & Q7? Maybe their average emissions are way too high and the penalties per gram of Co2 are massive IIRC

Pulled from the German configurator, or has that been the case for a while?

Wouldn't any business? or did Audi do something out of the norm, whatever industry you look at
I for one will avoid profiteering if possible l assume your OK with it ?
A Vorsprung Saloon price increased by £3500 in December 2021
I ordered one in a exclusive paint £59500 September 2021 but l realised no matter what colour that very handsome saloon exterior is painted in there is no escaping that hearse like interior
I believe there has been a price increase since December 2021 the model has been Doomed from the start to be honest that's life
Ford and VAG seem to be the most disorganised no doubt due to their reliance on Ukraine and bad judgement on demand

My sons Porsche dealership on the other hand has been chucking new cars out since December all brand new customer orders and sales are still in abundance ....Audi's are lower in the chipset/parts priority list apart from their all electric cars

I have no issue's with profiteering when it relates to life's non essentials..... and a RS3 is by no means an essential LOL
The way I see it, is they can charge what they like, it's their perogative, it's down to the consmuer to decide whether they are preparred to pay it, if no one is preppared to pay what they ask then the prices will quickly be cut I suppose....
Ive bought the car because I wanted a RS3 and I finally had enough pennies to buy one for the price they were asking in March 22, I loved the way the car looked and drove so I ordered it.....I don't care about the dahboard or the lack of red stiching or even the lack of engine noise, i'm 45 not 18 I don't need rumbles or pops and bangs, I don't look at the interior much, mainly look out of the windscreen when i'm in it ;)
I don't honestly know anything about Porsche's business model but im guessing its easier to manufacture 310k cars rather than the 1.6M Audi did last year and the 1.86M Ford did....
I also notice you have a FST3 coming, having owned a FST2 in 2019 and also the previous version in 2016, Great fun little cars, but.... being 6'3" anything other than a short journey was hard work, however the 19 was a lot more bearable than the 16 (Sorry don't know the MK's? i'd guess 7 &8) and as for the interior LOL
And out of curiosity, and you may have answered before, but why didn't you order a Porsche? I know what i'd have preferred out of an Audi or a Porsche :grinning:

I do hope there isn’t a FL RS3. My RS3, all being well should arrive March / April this year and I hope it‘s the last version.

How long was it after we built it and its over to you did you get its at the port, on the ship, in the UK and at the dealers? I’ve had nothing since the 26th January when they told me its build.

I never had a its started build email. I received a "We've checked it over, now it's over to you" (Final Checks stage) on February 7th, the next email from Audi I had was on the 13th "It's getting closer and closer" (In Transit stage). The last email I had was "Off the ship and on the road" (Arrived in UK stage) on the 15th.

My dealer updates were quicker than Audi automatic emails. Confirmed Built and left factory on 1st Feb, on Ship on 11th and at dealers today 17th.

The shipping schedule seems just as chaotic as the build schedule.

Why did yours board a ship so quickly given theres a few here whos cars have been at Emden since Nov/Dec :p

Ok thanks. I had the final check email on the 26th January, 10 days before you and nothing since. I’ll keep my eye open for them but I’m quietly hoping that it’s all ready here and they missed to send the emails! I’ll pester my SE again, I’m sure they love me contacting them so much.

No idea, it does seem to be completely random, Maybe the time for Sheerness is less than other UK ports (Although I'm not sure what ports the peoples orders are going to). I think I've just got very lucky to have gone through so quickly. Fingers crossed their orders find a ship soon.

Morning ALL,
Some of the ordered about 9, mix of Car variants have been built or on their way to the dealers. Some of these started their build tail end of last year and appear to have been held at Emden for some unexplained circumstances. May be Audi wishes to have a strong start for the new registrations for new cars.

Some EU countries have removed the option to order RS3 on their web sites, possibly in readiness for fl RS3 models. Where the launch was few months behind UK, it appears the RS3 is still available to be ordered.

Average delivery timescales query from @PedroD is almost impossible to answer as Audi's batching process for RS3 builds appears to dictated by this observed in order of:
Colour, Body type, Standard, Carbon, Vorsprung, when ordered. Some members if their order landed just when the batch was being made and were next on the list, they were in luck. So random.

From below, there should be a bunch of cars soon in UK.
Tracking:
Carbon @Jaeger12 - Sb-MyB (14 Months) @Dealers (Mar 1 collection)
Carbon @Wrightly - Sb - Nartdo Grey - (14 Months)
Carbon @Dnw21 - Sb - Tango Red now in Build (18 Months)
Standard @boardlord - Sl-KeG (10 Months) Now on Train
Vorsprung @Patrickv - Sb - DaG - (18 monnths)
Vorsprung @Schuey - Sb-DaG (18 months) Now in UK
Vorsprung @Kevmoz - Sl-Keg (14 Months) Awaiting the Boat.
Vorsprung @cooperp - Sb-DaG (18 Months)
Vorsprung @GR100 - Sl-TaR (15 Months)

if not already mentioned, may I thank you for your time and dedication in collating this information. Very odd, how Audi are processing the orders. I am sure they have logical reasons.

Mine was delivered 2nd Feb. Not sure on original order date as its a PCH car.

Originally ordered via gateway2lease in February 2022 for a July 2022 delivery, was registered 31st Jan 2023.

After 11 weeks at Emden, we're on the move!
