It’s not in their interests to supply cars at the lower prices when they know full well they could shift them easily at the higher price

Thanks RS03??? for maintaining this spreadsheet it is really useful. I was on it but then got removed for some reason.
I originally ordered a carbon sportback C&S pack in kemora grey from Coventry Audi in August 2021.
Thanks to this forum, I became aware I might be entitled to a discount using a broker for being ex military.
As Coventry couldn’t give me any forecast for delivery I decided to cancel and reorder with a discount via Motorfinity in November 2021.
It appears Audi UK haven’t removed my details from the original order. I’ve just received an automated email saying it’s just gone into build.
I have an estimated build date for my Motorfinity order 01/05/23 Wk 18.
Is it just a total coincidence that from order to build both are exactly 18 months. I’m
half expecting my new order to eventually get cancelled by Audi but at least there’s a glimmer of hope as the original order has now gone into build.
Happy for you to add the new order to the spread sheet (same spec as original order).
And thanks again for maintaining this info.

Hi @LuckyLee, added to the spreadsheet. Audi batch cars by colour, variant so both your orders have the same build week is more likely to be the case. There are 3 others before yours, so lets hope they also fall into for week 18 Build. @Alan Oliver, @Adi7r , @WilsonRS and a few others after yours.

Just to confirm the 2 orders haven’t ended up being the same build week. The 2 orders were 2 & a half months apart.
However I’ve noticed that both orders would have exactly a 18 month timeframe between order & build. Thats if my estimated build date for the new order happens in May.
The order timelines are just bizarre.
I ordered in August 21 like yourself, but I got my carbon saloon in daytona January last year so just 5 months from order to delivery.
I find it staggering that you are still waiting some 18 months on and counting.
Not good at all is it.
No news on mine, since November. Not really surprised.
Regardless of the lack of decent engine noise, I'm enjoying the 45s. I've got, now.
Ah I had a 45s before the 8Y RS3.
They sound quite good when you rev the nuts off them but just driving round town there is virtually no sound at all is there.
No, there isn't. I do miss the 8V. I'm finding the A45 much more fun to drive overall. If my 8Y had arrived, I wouldn't have got the 45 and would've been none the wiser.
No doubt the 8Y will be much better? . Didn't used to like the interior of the 45s. Love it now, decent seats. Spoiler on the back is a bit marmite. Used to it now.
It'll be a tough choice, when/if my order turns up.
They both have their own individual appeal and strengths / weaknesses.
Merc interior and tech is superb (ambient lighting is incredible) / seats fantastic / handling excellent .... let down by sound !
Audi interior is good but a sea of black and ambient lighting compared to the Merc is chronic.
Audi seats more comfortable but less supportive and zero contrast stitch or race tex.
Steering wheel I felt was too big and 'buttony' in the Merc - flat bottom wheel in the Audi I much preferred.
Audi exterior looks are great - it looks purposeful and moves the game on massively from the 8v.
8Y is terrific to drive and handling again a step on.
Problem again though is sound. It is so muffled from the glorious sound of the 8v which provided a true 5 cylinder soundtrack.
I thought the 8Y would address all the sound issues I had with the Merc but sadly not.
Many owners are quite happy with the sound levels in the 8y but I just prefer a more sonorous soundtrack - the 8v was perfect in that respect and got the balance just right.
Pretty much agree. Obviously can't comment on the 8Y, handling.
I quite like the merc wheel now. Glad it's got alcantara, minor thing, I know.
At lot more stuff as standard on the merc.

If you cancelled with Coventry and got your Deposit returned think the Dealer will have done the same as JCT600 did with my order after I cancelled (Reordered through Griffin with Discount) got all the updates from Audi Re: Build right up until it was delivered (February 2021) but then JCT600 just sold it on (Probably above list) as I don't think any Dealer is Cancelling orders with Audi as they know they can easy Sell an RS3 above list (and probably purchased it at pre increased price as well)
Hi all , quick update on my order dealer phoned me today with a bit of good news my build week has gone status 20 so hopefully be built in week 9 so it might all be happening after 16months !

BW9 confirmed now with status 20. Brought a bit forward
The dealers are useless mate! Lincoln Audi said "We don't know what the new RS3 will be released, there's no news about it" That was the day after the 8Y went live on the builder! They're pillocks! Not all to be tarnished with the same brush, but very believable that some (many) don't have a clue what they're having for lunch, let alone holding finger on the pulse of their products.
Oh it's coming third quarter of 2023 in showrooms first quarter of 2024 its also known as a chronological build timeline of every Audi A3 ever made
That's probably completely true. Doesn't mean there isn't one though!
Most of them couldn't find their backside with both hands.
Our order from November 2021 has moved closer again to week 17 !! Positive stuff, I’m still very much looking forward to it despite the FL on its way. Still hopeful it will come forward again.
What colour / variant did you go for ? I also ordered in November 2021 and currently have a build week of 38

It’s not gonna be too long now terminator !! We are only a few weeks away… with one in build now and others ranging from build week 8 to 17 for red orders in 2021 !!! You would hope it may come forward again…… maybe wishful thinking, but cmon !!!

Me too, if the rumours of rear bumper changes and exhaust moves are true I would prefer pre FL . I’m Still fingers crossed for April.
Isn't the existing exhaust layout a RS trait? If so why would they change it to what sounds like a R32 lookalike
