In the last few days this error message has started intermittently appearing. When it happens, the rear parking sensors stop working altogether. Initially thought it might be dirt or something covering one of the sensors but I've cleaned them and it still keeps happening. Has anyone else had this or know what could be causing it please?

ive had that too. Mentioned to dealer when in for a service but it is intermittent and behaved whilst at the workshop so didn't get anywhere

Interesting - roughly how long has it been happening to yours and how intermittent is it please? Mine's only started doing it over the last few days and it's never happened prior to that. I've taken a photo of the error message to show them if it has to go in to be looked at.

about two months on and off. Just when it gets really irritating it behaves itself. Annoying when tight parking though as you lose faith in the sensors.I had thought it was frost or condensation but the cold spells have passed now and it stil occurring

Mine is doing this all the time now so it’s going to have to go in to a dealership ASAP.

Fingers crossed it’s just a sensor or something and they’ll change it under warranty.

Just an update on this, the dealership diagnosed a damaged wiring loom in the rear bumper. Declined under warranty which I thought was very bad but Audi UK have now agreed to cover the cost as a goodwill gesture. Apparently the wiring had fallen down from where it's supposed to be housed in the bumper and was exposed to the elements as a result which caused damage/corrosion. Anyone else having the same issue, I would get it looked at ASAP as it only gets worse over time until the rear parking sensors eventually stop working altogether. The repair is being done next week.
