I looked at an s3 at an Audi dealer and it has fully black wheels but all the ones I’ve seen on YouTube etc have a silver rim to the wheels. Are these not original wheels on this s3 do you think?

They should have a diamond cut lip they will have been refurbished if the lip is gone

They appear fully black? Guess they’re refurbs then? Shame as it’s £33k so definitely won’t be getting it if it’s got refurbs anbs only on 22k miles.

They definitely didn’t do these wheels from factory all black then? Only with the silver rim?

The factory ones had the diamond cut rim around the edge.

This is not intended to be ar*y but what's the issue with them being refurbished if the rest of the car is what you want? Sometimes a stone chip can get under the lacquer and cause "white worm" on the diamond cut bit and it looks rubbish, it could just be this. I know its extra cost, but you can get the silver rim put back on or maybe negotiate it with the seller.

Mine are diamond cut and they've started to get white worm so will be getting those bits sprayed silver when they eventually go for refurb. Not sure who thought diamond cut was a good idea!

It’s not an issue as such it’s just a low mileage car and the body work all looked fine so made me wonder why the wheels had been redone. Also it may be a bad refurb and peel after a few months for all I know, it’s £33k so top whack for an 8v so wanted it to be almost perfect and original.

I wouldn't worry about the wheels being refurbished as long as the rest of the car and service history is in order .
What year and spec is the car ?

Totally agree about the diamond cut wheels being a bad idea don't get me wrong the look good but a massive pain in the ar$e if you curb one and getting the inserts to match .

Here’s a link to the car. Do you all think £33k is too much for an 8v? I can get a new one for around 40k

Mine was £40k new in march 2019 I haggled for a few days and got it for £35k .
I know prices are high at the moment with what's gone on in the world over the last few years but I personally wouldn't pay £33k for that car
I think it a good 5k over priced but that's just my opinion of course .

Yeah that’s what I thought, wonder how low Audi would go? Can’t see them keep reducing it to like £30k? I guess they always sell to someone. Be interesting to monitor how much it gets reduced by

I enquired about an A45 AMG that Mercedes Coventry had about 4 months ago it was £48850 and they wouldn't budge
I was looking the other night and they still have it but it's now £44k so it shows how much they put on them .

Yeah that’s pretty crazy, what would this s3 cost now normally before all this madness in the world? £29k?

Wow that’s a lot of cash for a 22k mile S3. For that I’d want every extra possible, I’d couldn’t live with a light grey interior but that’s personal choice! No sports seats, roof or adaptive cruise though!
Thought I payed a lot for mine, but prices are still bonkers!
Happy hunting
