Build started, may be by end of Feb, the car will be in UK.

a very silly question this but how and when does the build week compute? mine is week 13 for build is that fair to assume March given 4 weeks in a month starting from january 2023....

Week 1 starts the first Monday of January, so 2nd Jan this year, then just each week is numbered after that. Week 13 starts March 27th.
 
You can remove my build week. Reading between the lines with my broker, I am not sure it ever even had one. I originally said to myself if it wasn't here for the summer, I would cancel, but with the interest rate / RRP rises since ordering, I will probably ride it out and see if it ever turns up.

Does seem a bit wild that Audi can't even give me an estimated build week after having my order for 14 months.. but here we are.

My dealer said i should have my car by the end of this month. We shall see…

Besides all the waiting like some of us have known for a good while well they should have known this? a huge factor for performance car delays and especially in the case of VAG models even during the parts and chip shortages they still have to put their main priority on building EV cars and build their quota for the year or get fined Millions of €€€ this was reaffirmed by an established and well respected youtuber...that's why ev cars sales have topped the smmt sales charts in December 2 years running there isn't enough ice cars being built and the build quota for EV's this year is even higher and will continue to do so year in year out

you had any more thoughts on your own car direction mate, or happy to keep away from the madness still.

Not until Interest rates settle mate happy to still keep saving for the bucket list car wife gets a wee Fiesta ST3 at the end of the month so happy to toodle about in that for a wee while it was the only reasonable car we could get before her lease car goes back in February
The fiesta even has matrix candles no pan roof though lol as Ford deleted it last year
I really do miss a fast good looking car

sounds like a good plan all round.
save more cash and get that bucket list car ( with an ICE while we can ).
I'm sure the new Fiesta ST will definitely keep you distracted as they are a nice looking car and terrific to drive.

Pmsl I'll take your word for it mate l actually still think the saloon in Riviera Blue will look sensational....and hopefully if built someone will enjoy it
Only downside with the fiesta is the manual gearbox.....love flappy paddles lol

lol it's just the lack of sound and dull interior mate - exterior wise it looks stunning and to drive its a great car.
But with ICE cars being phased out, time is limited to get what could be that last great car.

What do we think long term residuals on the 8Y will be? If it does turn out to be the last (& best) surely that can only mean good for us?

I do still worry about what the FL RS3 might do to residual of mine when it finally leaves Emden!

Oh i will, if I cared about residuals I wouldn't be coming from a McLaren, has even worse residuals!

Between a Rock and a hard place as they say ...l was there with my TTS Vorsprung....chucked my pride and ego out the window for profit been driving a 95 bhp fiesta for 15 months but I'll get back in a nice car if/when normality returns to the car industry

Yup, I did it with my M2 comp. Ran it for the summer and sold it for same as I bought it. Then went carless for 9 month effectively. Won’t be doing that again though!

Nah, they don’t look bad. There’s better options overall for colours I’d say, but they aren’t bad at all until you change them.

a long wait yet pal. Build not scheduled till quarter 3 so looking like a 73 plate. Spec to be fully confirmed once an official build slot is allocated so a few months to still ponder. I’ve ummd and arrd over the wheels but atm I am going with the satin black sorry. With me going gt silver I just think they both look best and contrast the exterior best. The 911 turbo wheels are a possible as they are 2 tone but don’t contrast as well as the satin sport wheels. I’m not a fan of the Carrera alloys even in black. So the jury is still out :)
