Hopefully get some help on here, as I’m raking my brains on what to get

The tyres fitted on my 2020 SQ5 are 255/45/R20 101W - Pirelli Scorpion Verde

I’ve been looking at buying the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 tyres, but can’t for the life of me get the loads/Speeds right

Am I right in saying, I can go to 105H and 101V, 105W as it seems like this tyre is only available like this, or I go for the 3

Thanks

What does you AUDI tyre recomendation sticker suggest? Yous must have something like this:

OUR SQ5 tyre pressures

Stuck somewhere...

Ok so I’m reading 101V or 101W

This is strange because when I called ATS on Friday, they said the car would be fine with 105V or W

He said don’t go lower but you’ll be ok with that

Erm: the 255/45 R20 101V M+S are exactly as stated - M+S being Mud and Snow
But a summer road tyre (plus 7ºC) is listed as 255/45 R20 101W
There is a 'speed' difference…

Ok just called up Kwik Fit, and he said I can fit 255 / 45 / R20 105H

He said you can't go down, but you can go up, so I can go for the ones below

Speed rating

Bet he has the 'H' rated in stock!
THINK! Tyre construction!
Question: who do you trust with your car/family/motoring life: Audi who developed and homologated (Type Approved) the car you chose for your safety/FUN or your Kwik Fit fitter
Hmm Thinking Here Smiley

Ok thanks,
From what I can see, I can't then purchase either the 3 or 5 Goodyears :(

Them 4-tyres are your ONLY contact with the road, you need to decide!

Me, I'd fit the BEST performing tyre I can get that meets the Audi 'sticker' recommendation. And that's what I have on my Audi cars....

What tyres do you buy?

What tyres do you buy?
The very BEST I can for sure: only contact with the road! And I change summer rubber to winter rubber as and when conditions are appropriate, why not?

No pockets in shrouds!

So you have All season Pirelli Scorpions and you need to change, suggestion is Goodyear F1 summer/ all season tyres.

the first number is the load rating, 101 is the recommended one by Audi, and yes you can go up to 105, but not less than 101. Higher the number higher the load it can take, probably also means stiffer the construction, so ride quality might suffer.

the letter is the speed rating, closer to Z, the higher the max speed they are rated at, again you can go up, but shouldnt come down. The Audi recommended rating is W, for a normal tyre, the others are Mud and Snow or winters.

for me, find another brand of tyre that meets the Audi rating, at least 101W. Ideally an Audi approved tyre, with A01 stamp. The Goodyear is a good summer tyre but I wouldn’t fit that one to my car.
What is making you pick that one? price? desperation for one? Something else?

Yes I actually called Michelin earlier and they said the exact same thing,

Stick with what you have on the car, but if you can’t find what your looking for, then by all means go to 101 (or above) or W (or above)

Ive been doing a lot of digging into tyres, and the Goodyear 3 or 5 looks like a great tyre, any recommendations from yourself bud?

Ive also been looking at the Michelin Latitude Sport 3’s
