Couple of quest for those in the know.

I want to add a Maxton front splitter and side diffuser’s to my S3 sportback FL. The website is a little misleading though probably me being thick. I’ve emailed Maxton and they sent a link for parts that “Should” fit.

Has anyone fitted the above parts to the same S3 as me , if so could you point me in the right direction ?

Also thinking of buying an RS honeycomb grille that’s come from an S3 saloon if the same year as my sportback. Does anyone know for sure if they are the same size / dimensions ?

Thanks in advance

I have the Maxton front splitter on my FL S3 and it fits fine. If I remember correctly, there was 2 sections on their website for the S3, PFL and FL. But it was a couple of years ago now so they may have changed it.

The front is already low so the splitter does scrape on stuff sometimes. Mine has a fracture on it where its hit something

Navarra Blue , the same as my S3. Looks great I’ve ordered the Maxton Splitter and side diffuser’s, also bought an OEM RS3 grille from one of the guys here at ASN. Should all arrive early next week. S3 is at the body shop for repairs at the moment so I’ll likely get them to fit it all.

Did you have any issue fitting the S3 badge on your honeycomb grille mate ?

My grille is a copy RS grille from AliExpress. There was no mounting for the S3 badge so I took the S3 badge off the old grille, put it through one of the smaller holes in the honeycomb (you'll know what I mean when you see it) then put a screw in from underneath so it doesn't fall out/get stolen.

If you're getting an original RS3 grille, I would expect some sort of mounting to be available as the RS3 has a badge in the same location

So you scratching over kerbs? or you have one mm left ?

Depends on the kerb but it's very close, I try and stay a bit back from the kerb but its not always possible
Yeah don't go over, you might slide in but when you will be sliding out you will rip the whole front end.
This is mine in picture no splitter and splash guard edge already touching so If I would add anything more underneath it is 100% damage. And I don't even have it lowered.

I've got the full Maxton kit on my 17 S3 for what about 2 years now. Everything fits perfectly & I've never once scraped any kerbs etc. My ride height is standard though, Only issue I've had is when driving round multi-story car parks depending on the decline angle. Good example is LGI's car park it scraped like hell.

Also first post here. :)

A standard oem RS3 grill needs slight modifications to some of the tabs to fit, not my experience but gleaned this info from previous postings.
On my fl saloon I fitted a front black edition grille from a sportback which fitted perfectly although I do believe the saloon bumper extends forward more than the sportback.

The one in my pro pic was just a honeycomb rs3 grille I ordered off eBay. Straight fit only thing different was the Audi badge it’s smaller on the honeycomb than the original.

Bit late but here are the finished results

Very happy with how it looked , did have to enrol some help with the grille as that took a bit of modifying.

I bought the grille from a forum member for just under £200. Very happy with it as it’s a genuine RS3 grille.

I know people have good results with online versions though , eBay probably a good bet as they deliver much quicker.

I did have to trim some parts of the front bumper to make it fit correctly but not a hard job overall. We’ll worth doing in my opinion.
