Scumbags.

Really? Please tell me they let the scummer go but don't let the car go with them?My sons Golf R got stolen a while back, he had quite an interesting conversation with the Police,
If it's an OCG they are split into teams, one team steals it, one team fuels it, another moves it on, apparently if they catch the car with someone in it they just say
''I borrowed it off me m8 to go to Macky d's didnt I''
Cops say ''who's your mate'' toe rag they caught in car refuses to say who his mate is so they have to let him go ***.
Much easier for the cops to prey on Law abiding motorists eh?

Maybe the car was stopped because the person/people in the car looked wrong somehow and it was before the car was reported stolen?Eh? They pull over a car that’s reported stolen and just let someone off when they say that…. Hard to believe they’d let someone just walk off.

Nope, theyve got it sorted,Maybe the car was stopped because the person/people in the car looked wrong somehow and it was before the car was reported stollen?
So driving around in a stolen car isn't enough for a trip to the Police station? Surely there's something wrong there. Otherwise the only people caught would have to be in the act of actually stealing the car!Nope, theyve got it sorted,
'borrowed it off me mate, I didnt know it was stolen''
no evidence against him that would stand up in court (except no insurance I imagine) so they have to let him go

I agree that you shouldn't be in major trouble from the Police for being duped by your mate. My problem is if someone is in a stolen car and the Police have stopped them, refusing to say who the mate is surely means that the person in the car is a suspected car thief. Surely it should be investigated further before they're released at the roadside. Or how are any car thefts ever solved? I mean that poor bloke in the clip was assaulted and clearly very badly traumatised. In my opinion, getting his car back isn't enough if there's someone caught driving it. There should be consequences for these sub-humans.To be fair if the guy said it was his mates he didn’t know it was stolen they can’t really arrest you for being duped by someone else but I can imagine you’ll be walking back to your ‘mate’ car less with probably 6 points, they will get his licence, name and address and if he doesn’t have a licence then he would be arrested and taken to the station surely but either way car recovered, people need to just work and get their own car I’d love a golf r but not stealing one and hurting someone ?
I bet if he got a bat out of the car and beat the **** out of them the Police would be interested! That’s is the nastiest thing to happen to someone outside their house.
hope he’s ok.
I don’t think there’s enough bad words in the English language to describe these scumbags.
Yep, talking to a fellow German Sheperd dog owner last week (they owned a pub) theives broke in, Dog bit one of them, Police prosecuted Dog owner because the dog was downstairs by himself so technically not protecting them.....................could'nt make it up any better if you tried,I bet if he got a bat out of the car and beat the **** out of them the Police would be interested!
They havent been 'duped' by their mate, they are part of the OCG stealing the cars, they are just 'trained' (for want of a better word) in what to say, they DO NOT know any of the other gang members, they are all kept away from each other as if one is caught he has no idea who else is in the gang or any namesI agree that you shouldn't be in major trouble from the Police for being duped by your mate. That is exactly it (although they are questioned and released), the Police have to prove it was them that actually stole the car.So driving around in a stolen car isn't enough for a trip to the Police station? Surely there's something wrong there. Otherwise the only people caught would have to be in the act of actually stealing the car!
So you miss the ''No action was taken against the driver or passengers in the stolen vehicle' bit then?Well I’m yet to see this scenario play out on police interceptors

Die very very slowly, with excruciating pain.Let's hope they died in the car driving it away.

What are they going to charge someone with who they stop driving a stolen car? If there is no video evidence, no statements saying who stole it, no DNA from the house (or from the site of the attack) the Police have no chance if they take it to CourtI’m not saying people don’t sometimes get away with it in court but never once have I seen the police pull someone over and go ah it’s your mates car, no it’s stolen btw but just get yourself home if your mate lent it to you…
And how often do those in the stolen car just ‘pull over’ if that’s not an indication they know it’s stolen I don’t what is.

People are idiots. I'm going to get front and rear. The only slight worry is the potential state of the battery a while afterwards.Must admit I fancy a rear facing dash can just to shop the mobile phone fiddlers, every set of lights theyre like nodding donkeys, I have had two drivers pull out in front of me (on my Motorcycle) talking on a mobile, one even gave me a right earfull when I stopped about 6 inches off her door ***
Front and Rear is the option to go for. Battery drain has not been a problem for me when the car was left alone for 2 weeks, in parking mode. Also, some have intelligence built into them to shut themselves or enter sleep mode, by monitoring the battery voltage level is getting low.People are idiots. I'm going to get front and rear. How you getting on the the 8Y Rs3 now mate ? I know you wasn't sure a while backI-Volt battery is the way to go.
Charges while on the move, takes the strain off the car battery completely.

That's good to know, thanks. It'll hopefully never be needed but with the amount of rounded doorhandles there are about, you can't be too careful.Front and Rear is the option to go for. That looks like a good idea. I saw an American review of dash cams and he used a couple of these types of battery but they were very expensive. Your suggestion is much more reasonably priced, thanks.I-Volt battery is the way to go.

Currently my thinkware Automatically switches off after 2 days regardless of the battery state.
will something like this but me more days?
I just need something that will last a whole week as now I’m travelling for work again I will likely leave car at airport on a Sunday and back Friday.

The pre OPF version was massively louder though tbf.Met a friend the other day with a 20 plate M5, I was telling him the RS3 is too quiet, he said the M5 was as well due to the particluate filters, he was talking bo**ox, the M5 sounded really well
Don't you think that all these Police Programmes do nothing but Glorify the Police, A smoke & Mirrors marketing exercise that takes away the reality of the Lazy, Racist & Misogynistic Police Forces that we actually have in reality to "protect & serve us" ?Well I’m yet to see this scenario play out on police interceptors
