Yes I agree we will see but I'll keep at them .assay mine comes on everyday. Pretty dissatisfied with the carHad my car over a year never had a SOS fault until two weeks ago. Car is booked in next week dealer says a fix is imminent. Personally I’ll believe it when I see it.

Hi i have 2021 and have all these issues all I get is there is a software updated due December its just frustrating they ve brought this model out to early I've got an issue with grinding brakes when coming to stop .it's only done 5000 miles ,anybody else have this problem. Would be good to here.cheersThe same thing happened again today as shown in the attached pic.
The MMI also goes blank and resets/re-configures. I loose all the settings for a bit and it doesn't recognise me.
I’ll let you know how I get on as my car is back to the dealership very soon.i think there wont be fix anytime soon as a3 its on the market whole year and there is no fix
i think from update you can get android wirless but i got no time to do it yet haha and now i think about rs3I’ll let you know how I get on as my car is back to the dealership very soon.
Ok thanks for that infoi think there wont be fix anytime soon as a3 its on the market whole year and there is no fix
I wouldn't look to cancel - I'm in the same boat as you. But logically the car would've been released for almost 2 years by that point. If a fix isn't already in place, surely it wouldn't be a million miles away.Reading about these issues are making me wonder if I should pull out of my A3 order.... It should be ready by circa march/april-22. Maybe the issue will be resolved before they build my car???? But from what everyone is saying.. there is no fix!!!!
Are all cars affected by this SOS issue or is it the minority?
You would hope so! It just doesn't sound good to me. Im struggling to get the feel if this a wide spread problem or if its only effecting a small % of carsI wouldn't look to cancel - I'm in the same boat as you. I was in the same boat earlier this year. As the car took ages to arrive, I also had ages to think whether I should cancel and ages to read on all the issues on the new A3. The only issue I get is the SOS ping occasionally (no other tech issues that others faced), and only in certain specific areas (especially near Blackwall tunnel, East London). I mean I've done a trip from London to Edinburgh and back, and from London to Leeds area and back, routinely drive from East to West London, didn't ping once!Reading about these issues are making me wonder if I should pull out of my A3 order.... If you do a Google search and see the Guardian news article you will see that VW Group have known about the issue since 2017 and there still no fix.I wouldn't look to cancel - I'm in the same boat as you. I thought it was the season to be jolly..lol.. I'm going to be so nervous picking up this car.... soo many faults I'm hearing about which includeIf you do a Google search and see the Guardian news article you will see that VW Group have known about the issue since 2017 and there still no fix.
It can be reliably triggered around Trafford Park in Manchester too.I've seen one or two where the boot doesn't close properly without giving it a firm slam. Similar to the passenger doors that myself and others faced.
Watching this thread closely to see when this will finally be fixed, blackwall tunnel is the place I'd be going straight after the update to prove its fixed. (Provided I still owned the A3 lol)
I got this from Audi UK in December. Suggests end of Feb for those with a reversing camera.Anyone have any updates on a fix for this?
Same issues with SOS and rebooting system. Update could be end of January Audi told me… yeah sure.Hi I've got a brand new 21 plate a3 sportback and my sos goes off once a day but I've found just to ignore it and it goes off on its own.can any one help, with my grinding brakes.only done 5000 miles
Not sure why you have issues with your breaks, it is true they have been updated to use a different system to reduce friction caused by the pads in previous designs, it should not cause grinding, my answer to this would be either crap Audi pads or bad disc, they do rust up quickly if the car is not used for a week or so....my guess is the discs are poor quality....... SOS and re-boots should be sorted by the dealership, either via software or hardware update, as stated above there is a re-call on certain models due to some hardware issues with the service and lane assist systems.Same issues with SOS and rebooting system. I have had grinding brakes for over a year. Mentioned it to Audi during a service and they said it’s standard and because the brakes are updated. Never had a car with brakes sound that bad. I don’t believe a word they tell me. Would give the car back tomorrow if I could.
there is lies like this for many monthsHad a phone call with my Auidi centre this afternoon.
Was told that each A3 will need a software update, and depending on the date of manufacture, a new SIM card and in some cars, a new control module. Service manager claimed that they have ordered a supply, but been told by Audi Germany it is going to be late March before any supplies hit the UK - and then it will be limited supplies.
Don't know how true this is though - anyone else heard a similar story.
when your car was built ?This must be fixed on newer vehicles, I've not had the SOS error once and I've had mine about 5 months now. I drive it in London as well
Mine is October 2021when your car was built ?
i think that is the case i did test drive 2x rs3 and has no sos
Think your dealer is telling lies. I had the mmi user login fault ( black screen initialising) and sos fault repairs both done last week when mine was in for a new gear box.Had a phone call with my Auidi centre this afternoon.
