I am direct through Audi mate coast2coast just pass it on to a dealer
Drivethedeal are brokers who arrange finance/acceptance ie My TTS
Besides retrospectively l think l am paying enough of a deposit for allowing very affordable monthly payments anyways its miles away life's too short to get all wrapped with a car/model that physically hasn't started production yet or anywhere near production
Ah I see I wasn't sure if coast2coast were a broker or not that's why I said I could be wrong
Yes your putting a good chunk down if I remember rite if the monthlies work for you that's all that matters .

What you driving at the moment now the TTS as gone ?

Sounds good, I think the sports exhaust is a must for me. I know it won’t sound like the PFL RS3 or anywhere near, but still.

Yeah don’t get me wrong, I say I’m sick of black, it’s just I’ve had them on my last few cars. My current F type has gloss black wheels and you see every little mark on them! I really like the look of the standard one.

I did have a scroll back through here and found this picture, I really like the contrast of the wing mirrors etc.
I like the standard car as I prefer the Alu pack . After seeing this picture I went to see a tango red A3 just to get a proper look at the colour but it wasn't for me unfortunately .

Funny you say this, as until this July I didn't know Tango Red was metallic. I have a colleague with a Tango Red S-Line Saloon, she's had it 3 year or so. Only in the right light as I was giving her wheels a full decontamination did I see the fleck this year. It's not like I haven't paid attention either as I've done a few jobs on the car for her before this.

Basically saying a new semi conductor factory has been built. Should start to improved conductor supply that should start to speed up new car builds.

So my S3 valuation from WBAC has dropped from £37,280 to £36,000. Is this the start of the market dropping or are they chancing their luck I wonder.

From my sales exec regarding the delays and launch cars:

These launch cars DO seem to be affected by the issue I mentioned yesterday – once they’ve gone past their confirmed build week (which these all have by 2 – 3 weeks) instead of saying in transit or awaiting ship, they just say ‘confirmed’ still. In reality, they’ll be at the German port but still need 1 – 3 ECU’s to finish them off, but they have to leave the factory as the lines have to keep rolling – they could be shipped next week, or it could be another month, and as dealers we have no idea until we see them allocated a chassis number. If anyone out there has bought one, AND their car has a chassis number they are very, very lucky. If they’ve been told it’s on the way, but dealer can’t give them a chassis number, then those cars are stuck.

I think carwow is one of the best channels going tbf. Not too much of a fan of the others but will watch anything RS3 related!

Be interesting to see when the next evil GT video is related to their RS3 order.

From my sales exec regarding the delays and launch cars:
This seems unlikely to me.

The cars normally get delivered with a fair few miles on them as they do additional tests on these models. Can't remember exactly but I think my current car had 45 miles on it upon delivery.

I may be wrong but I assume missing ECU's would make a car unusable therefore untested. Can't imagine them testing at the port.

As I say I could be wrong.

Unless they’ve allocated test ECUs to be installed to test then removed for the next car? But I don’t know if that’s something that can be done if they need coded to each car or whatever.

I'am looking forward to matt Watson doing the 0-60 test in the RS3 as Audi's figures are always understated .

I think the marketing is starting to drop. My RR sport dropped 3k in value since Friday.

Yep its a real shame there isn't more paint options for the Rs3 I feel out of the colours available I would be just settling for a colour and its a lot of money not to be 100% happy with the colour I know there is always the £2400 exclusive option of course

Same here - mine dropped a £grand after holding its price or increasing.
We might now get one of those e-mails saying good news your car is worth more again.
All tactics to try and get us to sell isn't it.
Shock us with a drop because we are not selling and then put it back up again hoping we will cash in incase it falls again,
I won't be selling regardless until the Dealer has my new car, so it what it is - I can see 2nd hand values collapsing.
Christmas may impact on them but unusual times atm with cars in such short supply, that may keep the values unseasonally high.

Better to buy a car you really like and want in a colour you're not fussed in or a great colour you really like but a car your not fussed about ... lol ;)
Exclusive paint is the only way forward if you feel that strongly about the paint choices.

I don't think I could bring myself to pay £2400 for paint :notme:

It does get a little frustrating driving a much slower car...and l need to keep that in mind...Whilst driving yup l sold it at the right time prices will drop very soon on the lead up to
xmas
I also find it quite liberating not having to pay a car...and wash one every week and yes l feel like some part of me is missing.....lol but hey ho ....RS3 bits and bobs will be purchased over the next few months...carbon bits etc also going to take out a extra years warranty with the car its an extra £495

I’d agree with the liberation point, financial weight lifted but it is a miss for sure!

We’re down to one car for the time being, walked out the house to pop to the shops to be met by an empty driveway yesterday!

I’m looking forward to see the art of the possible in terms of tuning. Guessing it will be relatively quick for apr, revo etc to come out with their solutions given the familiarity of the engine, once the ECU is unlocked. Assuming it is locked of course.

On the timing front, maybe not so easy, especially if they are using the newer Bosch ECU’s which they probably will and are encrypted and hard(er) to crack

Yes it is a nice feeling not having a monthly payment for a car . Yes the extra year warranty is a good idea as I can imagine the bill to be high on Rs3's if they go wrong .

My Golf R did the same last week from £26400 to £25250, didnt know whether they are trying to get me to jump by reducing the price or not, or maybe Joey Public has just said F*** that I'll wait until the market sorts itself out, There are Golf 8R's in dealers at around £15K over list

Theres only a few I watch/Listen to, 'Hi I'm Shmeeeeee' isnt one of them, Carwow Matt is a little silly but generally tells you how it is, This last week or two ive been watching Joe Achilies, he jumped in Golf 8R and said exactly what I thought and found out over my two test drives, so he's ok as well in my book :)

I think they would have to have quite a set at the Port to fit the ecu(s) and then have the test equipment all connected up to programme them in etc, changing ecu's generally isnt just plug and play these days, but I cant imagine theres room at the Factory to store all the cars and put them back on the production line either, be interesting to find out the truth :)
