Tracking our new RS3?

Just had this text…. My car is already at status 30 and at the port apparently? Hopefully just a late text or a mistake…..
Found out why I got this text, due to my Vorsprung order apparently still being live which I completely forgot about.

Launch Edition is indeed built and on its way over, happy days

Has anyone had any updates come through for the vorsprung ? is it worth while getting my order number from the dealer and asking audi for an update ?

Someone’s feeding you bull mate. Vorsprungs were quoted by Audi as not building to week 50 at earliest.

I heard week 47/48 seems to be allot of rumours floating around, seems like our dealers don't know much either

how does one manage to ask audi about there order via Facebook ?

Hi all, apologies if it's buried somewhere in the previous 36 pages but can someone tell me what the financial commitment is to place an order? I'd like to hold a place for a Vorsprung but I don't want to get tied in before seeing the driving reviews and ideally before I can get a test drive. At what point does any deposit get confirmed?

Thanks!

You need to drop a grand down to order

Ah, OK thanks - non-refundable I assume? I was hoping there might be way to get in line without getting tied in just yet. In that case I'll give it a while until the reviews come out at least

Twitter has a audi uk customer service but there no use to anyone they will just blame the system they use is down and inaccurate and that an engineer is working on it its been the same automated reply for a couple of weeks now

I never paid any deposit to secure my build, but this is my third car from the same dealership and salesman.

If you've got a Vorpsrung on order, I'd go to sleep and wake up in 6 months. Probably not even worth asking anything just now.

As others have said dealer dependant but “normally” £1k

At this rate I wouldn't mind a 22 plate...I have managed to add the DCC pack to my carbon edition so I'm happy with that tbf!

how does one manage to ask audi about there order via Facebook ?

I sent a message to them on Facebook on the 13th sept but was told their system was down (heard that three separate times in a month now ) but asked again on the 20th sept and I am still waiting for a reply from them…

In my case l offered more of a deposit but was told l couldn't pay more as it was fixed ie 30% I take it your buying the car no pcp
You can pay more mate my quotes were with a 30k deposit for a HP deal and 25k for the PCP deal and they were fine with it that was direct with Audi .
Maybe its different in your case as yours is through a broker ? could be wrong

Hi all :thumbs up:

I’m being lazy to save scrolling through all the pages, but anyone ordered the standard RS3? I looked at the carbon, but in all honesty I’m sick of black wheels now and really like the standard wheels - personal opinion of course!

I’d definitely be adding the sports exhaust as an option so it looks like I’d be missing the matrix lights which I can deal with I think, the black pack and a different inlay. Anything else I’m not aware of?

I previously had a facelift 2018 S3 and loved it. I’m currently in a 3.0 v6s F type which is fantastic and a great noise, but the two seats and smallish boot is proving a bit difficult at times and the fact I have two golden retrievers doesn’t make it any easier. I’ve said to my partner how good of an idea an RS3 is as it’s got more boot space, back seats etc and she seems to be on board!

I am direct through Audi mate coast2coast just pass it on to a dealer
Drivethedeal are brokers who arrange finance/acceptance ie My TTS
Besides retrospectively l think l am paying enough of a deposit for allowing very affordable monthly payments anyways its miles away life's too short to get all wrapped with a car/model that physically hasn't started production yet or anywhere near production

I've got a standard spec on order with comfort and sound, roof rails and sports exhaust.

I think it's just the matrix lights, hatch top spoiler and other carbon bits that it's missing.

Wheel wise, as good as the satin wheels look, day to day I couldn't live with them having had black wheels before in gloss, matt and satin finishes. They just never look clean. That said I'm also pretty tired of diamond cut finishes too but for me it's the lesser of two evils.

It was a tough choice between standard and carbon when I placed the order but the standard edged it, partly down to the roof top spoiler on the carbon. Personally I'm just not a fan of spoilers on hatch/sportbacks.

I think the standard spec with your chosen options is a great choice
In my case l am paying for a Vorsprung just so l can have the sunroof a must have for myself especially with black leather seats.....Audi interiors are a dull place to sit in with black leather and no contrast stitching....

Sounds good, I think the sports exhaust is a must for me. I know it won’t sound like the PFL RS3 or anywhere near, but still.

Yeah don’t get me wrong, I say I’m sick of black, it’s just I’ve had them on my last few cars. My current F type has gloss black wheels and you see every little mark on them! I really like the look of the standard one.

I did have a scroll back through here and found this picture, I really like the contrast of the wing mirrors etc.

That picture confirmed it for me, if I squint hard enough I can imagine it in Turbo Blue . After the dust had settled on my order I started to feel like the standard spec was inferior in some way as every image is of the Carbon or Vorsprung, but the alu trim suits my eye. The added bonus was a few days after my order was placed when the sports exhaust could be added. As you say, this feels like a must have to make up for the opf sound let down of the 8v S3/RS3. Fingers crossed the audi sound engineers have worked their magic, no doubt some proper review videos will reveal all.
