Judging by the other comments I think I’ll be taking the “I’ll believe it when I see it” stance I’m afraid. I really hope that’s the case as it will mean the rest of us will have cars on the way, but I’m doubtful.

I think that's a little unfair TBH, I dont really mind when mine appears within reason, whether it's week 48 this year or week 20 odd next year, March-May would be my prefered time frame, I would just like a rough estimate that's all
And of course if you think this is a pointless thread you could always just ignore it
It has become a pointless thread....because of the situation within the car industry...this thread is Ground Zero...for conjjecture...Limbo land but it should carry on regardless..for the sake of the forum....
Another point ...so cars are built awaiting circuit boards being plugged in ????which l doubt is the case but say it is true.. so figure how long it'll take for these cars to be shipped out....?There is some truth in temporary closures of car plants because of lack of products for certain cars closure makes sense
Also it makes sense in the case of VAG to prioritise what cars should get the required circuit boards/chips first ie Bentley/Lamborghini/Porsche/Audi....etc etc.....
It also affect the dealerships..if there is no cars to sell as such then peeps will lose their jobs...Furlough is dead....thank the lord.....It's Fubar this world......instead of bog roll it's now Fuel.....l had to drive to 5 filling stations yesterday to get some...had to settle for unleaded.......because of the panic merchants.....may l add that the over 6o's are the worst culprits...................as far as l saw

I totally agree about the 60+ folk, and I think the media should be fined for instigating this panic buying. There’s no shortage of fuel until people start hoarding it, just like bog roll previously. Just a bunch of idiots.

It most certainly wouldn't. but contradicts what that write-up says about having its hand tied behind its back when it meets up with the Honda and Merc,
as on paper it excels and on track and without question on looks! the other two look like they was designed by Ali g.
I think the point is about the tyres though, it was on sticky tyres round the ring I’d assume and the road car won’t be.
For me personally I’m not a good enough driver to get the most out of any car on the limit, regardless of rubber so the RS3 with standard rubber will do the trick nicely!

I have ordered a new RS3 and was not told about the tracker! My Golf GTi I bought a few years ago, allowed me to track. I placed my order in August and there is no build date for the Vorsprung models only for standard models and Carbon Black. The table below was sent to me on the 17th September.

It's a bit annoying because you'd think that they'd try to get the higher spec (more expensive) models at least on track with the others. But then I suppose that they'll also have more microchips in them too, with the additional standard kit so that's going to have an impact.
Well, Apparently the Golf 8R has a 'Nurburgring' setting that comes with the Performance Pack and was the mode in which it set it's Nurburgring Lap time, it is also the correct mode to use for the UK's pot holed and over banded roads, it selects just about the sportiest of everything except for the dampers which it puts into a more subtle mode.
That's weird as my original build was 2021-43 and it moved back to 2022-21
