Finally after 20 odd years of having Company Cars & Lease Cars, I finally purchased my OWN car which I am now free to tinker with.

Being an avid watcher of the likes of MCM, Matt Armstrong etc on YouTube, looking forward to getting going with a few subtle mods.

Short term is to take passenger door card off and fix the rattle coming from around the electric window switch as it's driving me effin mad! Going to wrap the trims whilst I am at it as there are some scratches from previous owner that are bugging my happiness! Also need to get a few minor dents sorted and a machine polish.

Currently in contact with Damian @ DPM for some wheel spacers & Eibach lowering springs. Gonna go with the Pro Kit for a subtle drop.

Anyone fitted spacers on their S4? Am I safe to go 12mm Front & Rear or go 10mm Front & 12mm Rear? Running standard 19s with245/39/19s which I think are 8.5Kx19. Don't intend changing the RIMs as they suit the car.

Mid Term is to complement the black pack with RS4 Grill (if I can find a reasonably priced one that's not sourced direct from China) and a subtle gloss black splitter & skirt boards + some black badges.

Longer term is a full exhaust system and stage 1 tune, although the boss/wife may interject on that outlay!!

Anyway, exciting times.

Any feedback on the spacers welcome before I commit to purchase.

I went 11mm all round from forge. Whilst I don’t particularly like spacers the S4 does benefit from this as stock offset is not adequate in looks! I wouldn’t stagger them either , no need and why mess potentially with the Quattro system. Just makes more sense to keep the differences even. Anyhow here’s a photo with 11mm.

If 11mm all round works, then I should be fine with 12mm all round!!

Looks like I will be treating myself tomorrow!

I’d love to see some before and after off the Eibach kit and spacers.

Don’t forget about changing the bump stops to shorter versions whilst your at it!

I’ll get some before and after pics up one done!

Never knew about bump stops. Will have to investigate!
 
Awesome!

Supposedly if you don’t change the bump stops to shorter ones the stocks won’t fully travel - thus resulting in a bumpier ride. At least that’s whats been advised on some A4 B9 lowering spring threads that I’ve read.

Maybe someone who has already installed lowering springs will be able to confirm?

I've ordered 12mm for all round + longer bolts. Assume you put on longer bolts......so did you also order replacement locking wheel bolts? I got advised McGard would be able to supply but the options on their site seems endless when you are not entirely sure what you are looking for!!

If you did, can you remember where you sourced them from?

No worries I bought them as a set including locking nuts. I went for 40mm ones I guess the ones you have are the same length.

Just search eBay for ‘m14 x 1.5 40mm radius locking’ that’ll get you what you want (assuming 40mm)
