What Car Care / Detailing Have You Done Today ?

Have you grown to love it any more @jassyo06? It really does look great. The Vorsprung alloys and RS wing really make it stand out over any other TTS you see on the roads.
I still feel the same about it.... WBAC offered me £45,100 for it last week l only owe £35k....inflated valution l know....but l loved the S3 saloon type of car pan roof, extra screen on the dash.....so i'll wait and get the RS3 saloon

It has been absolutely crazy last few months both at work and at home. Bought and moved house back in May and although it is new-ish built (from 2016) we have been busy getting a few bits done to the inside ever since. And at the speed Mrs is spending money on furniture / furnishings etc, I believe the end is near .

Anyways, finally managed to get the time to wash the cars, which hadn’t been touched since Feb / Mar this year.

S4 is washed and tucked away in the garage and the A3 and BMW outside. I now have the luxury of having a double garage so decided to do a few basic changes to it so that I can have my *detailing den* (very basic right now). Installed some light, electric garage doors, did the flooring and a bit of partition to secure from the other side.

Lol. Thanks @Andy F. It was on the ‘wish list’ for some time and I believe the patience paid off when I found a house with double garage (my only preference ).

Have a few more upgrades planned to the garage like the one in the picture (except the roof lightening). I have already got the swisstrax flooring and will start ordering few other bits in next few weeks / months. One of my mates is going to help me with it but it won’t happen this year.

Hey buddy, long time. Hope you and family are keeping well and safe!

I have been on the forum checking things but wasn’t commenting. Put some of the money in the house by paying bigger deposit and a few other things so RS has to wait .

Plus, still doing some silly miles per week for work (have been since Nov last year ), S4 is sat in the garage most of the times, has only done 2k mikes in the last 12 months compared to 22k on BMW in eight! No point in having a car if I am not using it the way I want to . Oh, and where I live the HS2 traffic and road works mean getting stuck in long queues and driving over pot holes all the time!

Good idea and definitely one I didn’t think about as I wasn’t planning on using the garage for washing the car. However, if there is an option then why not use it especially and like you mention when it is raining!

It should be easy to sort out the drain and will keep in mind before I start any work.

Took my wheels off the golf which is soon to depart to make way for my rs3. I’m hoping they’ll fit on my new motor all ok so gave them a clean down to pop them in storage whilst I wait.

Thanks. They are a bit of a classic on VAG cars

These are in a custom black chrome finish that really pops in the sun and works really well on black cars, which my car always tends to be!

Not detailing but would consider it car care. New set of Pilot Sport 4’s fitted on the S3 today.

Got a quote from Tyre fitter A , £149 per wheel fully fitted.
Tyre fitter B , £128 fully fitted.

Black Circles.com fitted by tyre fitter A , £104 per wheel fully fitted.

Obviously used Black Circle’s, £ 200 saving . The mind boggles !!!!

It's been a while since venturing on the forums, still got the S3 and still very much enjoying it. But then again who could get bored of a 380BHP pocket rocket? Anyway on to the important stuff. The front end has been resprayed, the stone chips on the bumper were really letting it down as there are NONE elsewhere on the car. So I'm pleased to say the bodywork is near perfect and I've added the OEM darker tint rear lights and had the grille surround finished in black which really finishes it off nicely for me. Really want to get the car polished and ceramic coated as I'm using less permanent coating at the moment which means I will be busting out the DA soon. If anyone has any polish, pad and ceramic coating recommendations I'll be interested to see if it's worth grabbing some new bits to try. I've already given it a once over with chemical decon and clay. The colour of the car isn't my favourite, but being metallic the Ice Silver paint does look better than the usual Reflex Silver VAG cars I see about, Sprint Blue has been my favourite colour thus far. Anyway, some pictures:

I had a great chance to work on the interior of an Audi S3 today, while the exterior is potentially later in the coming months. I've not sat in this new of an audi since owning an 07' A5 B8, but the quality of the materials and the feel of the interior really is awesome. I did poke around a bit. Haha. Maybe one day i'll have one of my own again :)

Gave the S3 a much needed bit of care today. Not enough time for a machine polish. I’d liked to have but being honest I got good results and the polish can wait till another time.
Exterior .
TFR
Polar blast SF
Bill Hamber shampoo
Fusso 99 wax
Fireball Ultimate for tyres
Swiss wax Seal Feed for seals and trim
Autosol for exhausts
AG fast Glass.

Interior.
Angelwax leather treatment and Angel for trim /dash etc.
AG fast. Glass
Angel wax air freshener.

Still took six hours of labour !!!! Pretty good finish overall if I do say so myself lol

Thanks Nev S3 has been a bit neglected due to the weather. Back out today giving it a quick wipe over with Megs Ultimate Detail spray . Removed the fine dust , added a nice extra shine !

Really have to recommend Fusso wax though . I’d been using Autoglym UHD , £50 a pot . Fusso cost me about £22 and it’s 100% better.

Parked under Sainsburys earlier , S3 looked wet . Can’t beat it

As always, you’ve done a cracking job on the Q.

And yes, S4 is finally gone and I ended up buying SQ7. I test drove the diesel SQ7 couple of years ago but couldn’t convince myself on owning one. I was sold the moment I sat in the petrol one at Leicester Audi, who were absolutely brilliant in the service they provided. And I ended up buying two; SQ7 for “the family” and A3 Saloon for Mrs
