Did you not get the code when you bought the new radio?

Not 100% on this but far as I know you will have to go to Audi

No i got the whole lot ie cage radio and climate from a facelift a3 from someone who had broke one. I see on ebay they offer a service to generate a code but im not sure this will work

Never used one of those services either, can always drop them a message before you part with any money, but suggest ringing Audi dealer to for advise, I’m sure they can get the code via the serial number off the radio and a price £.
Good luck, I shall keep watching and see if anyone else has any suggestions as I’m curious too.

I have phoned the dealer, they said they should be able to get the code £19.99. I messaged a chap on ebay who said he can get it after i sent him the serial number and he said yes for £5.39 so i might give that ago when i get the converter lead to fit the radio.

Give that a go, nothing to loose except £5.39

Will do! I will post up here if it works

I’ve used the eBay services a couple of times now and they’ve been perfect

After I retrofitted a RNS-E I tried selling my Concert radio but I never got the code. Bought the car 2nd hand.

Audi could only assist me if the radio was installed in the originl car and I should pay for 1 hour work. Ebay worked and much cheaper.

I've also used a serivce on Ebay for this a couple of times, and it's been great. Quick and without problems.

Well finally got around to instaling the radio this weekend and the code worked a charm. Audi wanted £19.99 i got the code off ebay for £5.39. Sorted

Do you have a link for the eBay service you used?

I saw this website https://www.radiocodeking.co.uk/audi-radio-codes/ from other forum giving radio codes for free by entering the code: freeaudicode upon checkout.

Worth a try as its free. I've been checking serials from Ford radios starting with V and they give instantly.
Was just about to say it is £12.99 but then noticed the free code.

I have entered my serial and used the code so will report back (after 10 mins).

Ok so not quite 10 mins but an hour later and my eBay bought code (which works) is returned by the above site. Well worth a bookmark. Nice one @jaimehughes
