This is an interesting video too. Good direct comparisons of 8v vs 8y. Even the interior really has moved on quite a bit. The old circular vents look quite dated now in the 8v. The 8v was and still is a superb car, but it has had its day as it dates back to 2013.
cant live in the past of the 8v forever ... gotta move on & embrace change mate.
I’d not seen the car up close until recently and most of the ‘issues’ I didn’t have a problem with (styling & quality) and the RS has only just had details released ... so yes the goal posts have moved - hence ordering one.
Just watched the carwow vid etron GT v R8 and if that is the Kemora Grey, I really do not like it.
Back track at your leisure mate l wouldn't buy a car that l actually hadn't seen or sat in your money go for it ...release yer covid-19 frustrations we all deserve something to look forward too

6&7 are the same car just different rear ends I think
4-5 just similar
3 is a stand alone different car

no RSQ8 either and that does have a front grille like the RS3
Jassy will slowly & reluctantly come round & see the 8y light ... mark my words, he’ll be in one at some point

Then left a bit flat after the S3 reveal and ownership of the a7 also sitting in the boggo a3
But here we are and I am embracing change

I do hope Jassy gets an RS at some point as the occasion they give cannot be experienced unless you own one. It’s not all about the power, of course that is a factor, but they feel special to own & make you smile when you drive them & hear them. They look special too with the enhancements over the S model. Yes I was underwhelmed with the S3 but the RS3 has won me over again as well as many of you other guys. Maybe the styling was a bit of a step change from the 8v, but having looked first hand and seeing the RS tweaks, it looks damn good, fresh & modern imo

Here is a fine example of the state of play across the board in all aspects of this world right now...this is an example... someone on here tells me to gtf ...for not complying to his or her mindset/opinion when he or she doesn't know me from Adam ....l kid I jest we all wind each other up....we don't take offense....l like the 8Y Rs3 @Doja cat....yer a novice on here capeesh I have forgotten more about RS cars than you'll ever know....anyway l am highly critical of any car even the one l own but *** its a sad day when you can't have a bit of frickin banter .......without someone tell ye to Frick off

And RS’s do trump all by some margin as far as retaining value.

I was the same I didn't like the 8Y at all when it was revealed but over time I have grew to like it .
Still not the biggest fan of the interior but the exterior I am fine with .
I have the interior design pack on my S3 it really does make a difference to the interior and I would definitely tick that option if I order an Rs3
I had a good look at German site with translator today and I looked at RS design pack. The basic pack is very subtle, think it’s red edging on seatbelts, red 12 o’clock marker and special mats. The plus pack adds the red vent accent# and red flashes on seats. I think that is the one to have.
Do you think Audi UK will include the Carbon rear wing ( I hope not) but I was thinking are they going to plaster it with carbon trim to match the Aero Pack that Mercedes put on the A45S. It suddenly crossed my mind that could be how it’s specc’d but surely Audi have more class.

perhaps if there is a "carbon" option maybe, someone will love it I guess. But I agree, it is toooo much on the SB but looks good on the saloon
