B9 Do you have Direct Tire Pressure (and temp) monitoring?

Does anyone with a B9.5 have the Direct TPMS system installed? the one which actually displays the individual tyre pressures and temperatures of each wheel not just the Indirect TPMS system which works off the the wheel rotation.
This was the one thing i couldn’t spec up on the car when i ordered it in Nov 2019. Its a MY2020 RS4 base edition, but with a lot of extras.
im just curious if anyone with with a black edition or the Vorsprung version has got the ‘proper’ TPMS, or if they are putting it on the current MY2021 or MY2022 models.
in the MMI home screen, its under CAR / RS MONITOR then on the 3rd tab to the right.
First being Temps, then G values, then Tyre pressures.


im looking to retro fit this to the car in the near future.

I've got a 21plate Vorsprung and doesn't have the proper TPMS, it only has the option to store the tyre pressure

Ok, thanks for confirming.
I’ve ordered the parts needed for this, about £160 in total, and will post how the installation goes.

I’ve installed this now, and it’s all working.

bought a kit on AliExpress, £160 delivered. Came with a wiring harness, 4x oem VAG wheel sensors and valves, and the oem module.
I 3D printed a mount for it, installed all hardware and made the VCDS changes required.
very happy with the results.
3D file is on Thingiverse if anyone wants the .STL file to print off.

installed above the right rear wheel arch.

All of the Press RS4s in the UK had Digital TPMS and Memory seats. False advertising as far as I am concerned. Is the wiring there and it's a case of bracket and wheel sensors with coding thereafter? Assume the MMI and VC work flawlessly thereafter?

Hi, no the wiring isn’t there at all so you have to tap in to the canbus hi and low, and run power and ground wires.
I suspect the original uk press RS4 B9.5’s that came over were built to German spec (but right hand drive) which has the direct tpms as an option / included. The UK spec car’s don’t have this as an option even on the vorsprung ive since found out.
monotony way to get it is aftermarket install now.

Yes, Audi is going to have to pay for both Memory seats and TPMS to be installed on mine or I'm rejecting this car.

I wish you luck getting them to add that. I asked them to fit the TPMS valve sensors in the wheels and they refused! Said as it’s not UK spec they wouldn’t touch it. I wasn’t asking them to install the receiver unit or do any wiring or coding, simply fit some new tyre valves.
probably as case of computer says no!

I always go through the specs line by line before ordering. My dealer confirmed these features. It's a breach of contract.

For our coach and toad, we purchased an aftermarket device. It does an excellent job of displaying the PSI in each tyre. We acquired it primarily because we had heard terrible stories about the toad having a flat. Ours has never set off an alarm. It's fascinating to watch the PSI fluctuate after a lengthy drive and the tyres have warmed up. So, is your peace of mind worth it?
